The printing press also has one major advantage that AI doesn't have: It promoted use of a skill that people were empowered to develop: Reading.

AI, on the other hand, and pretty much all of tech culture, ruins human skills, by allowing robots to take over those skills for us.

But when the printing press first came out? It is only benefitting the elite who can already read, who then dictate the culture to the masses.
