I have uploaded maybe 3-4 images my whole time here, I rarely use them unless necessary, especially not to write text into an image. But other people do, and "some" can't see them or hear them or see them clearly enough, and need the text because that is easily transcribed to whatever sense they do have.

I am mostly an advocate of all text, irc was fine as a social medium
