There are _real_, contractual/software escrows out there. but they're complex to implement, require funny wallets, etc.
This is literally "we already trust people for some stuff, lets just trust them to hold the money, too" - and that frees us up to not have to build actual escrows.
Trust saves you so much code. There's a time and place for "don't trust"; it's not always and everywhere.

Spoke too soon. The other ones just got hung up not doing anything at all.
I tried again, moved 20 tracks from 2 albums into one directory, clicked the browse option, got the dialog, selected all the files, and only 10 went into the queue. Those 10 were a mix of the first 5 from each album, basically in my sort order in the directory. The drag and drop just didn't do anything at all this time.

Yeah sorry I honestly didn't expect this to take off like this 😅 I'm not sure how to help as I'm not modifying the users files at all. Virtually all music files contain metadata about the contents though, the app reads it to create the Nostr events.

You can either import an existing mnemonic, such as from Blitz or Wallet of Satoshi, or generate a default wallet which is derived from your nostr keys, and loads instantly after you log out and back in.
