The people I don't even fucking know popping up in my threads promoting #Vector, absolutely reek of dark money shennanigans. They must have inched closer to the Bitcoin faucet.
How much is being spent on Nostr development, now? €10 million? $15 million? $20 million?
**For what?!!**
Y'all buying lambos and bimbos with some dev funding or something? Hiring 50 people to code? You can build and maintain this stuff with a few hundred or thousand dollars a month, max. Decentralization has failed, if it isn't dirt cheap to build and dirt cheap to run. Something expensive can't be done by very many people, but this is about _lots_ of people doing _lots_ of things.
**All of the gazillions poured into Nostr are turning Nostr into the centralized system we were trying to escape.**
One app, to rule them all. And it only costed $1 bajillion dollars to build and, in his next trick, the CEO is gonna save the world or fly us to Mars or rescue the whales. Please clap.
F this dystopia 😖

I had no idea. It can even run (proto) Doom. Wow
Haven't checked it recently but would be surprised if anything had changed. Will see what they reply with

If direct democracy doesn’t work and representative democracy doesn’t work, what are the alternatives?
Because it seems like Democracy doesn’t work… maybe it did at a smaller scale 🤷♂️

Wut? How? This is insane... And I love it.
A departure delay has been issued for Denver International #Airport (#DEN) due to wind. Current delays are 16-30 minutes and increasing. #AirportStatusBot
There's a significant difference between the inherent risk of living life, and intentionally throwing money at a rigged machine to hope against hope that you'll win it big.
I am generally open to suggestions. I only have two restrictions: nothing overloaded and no women with their backs to the reader (there are too many of those by female authors).

One of my favorite moments from this BIP-110 Q&A with @Schnitzel was admitting I got something wrong.
I originally believed Bitcoin Core's policy change would benefit the biggest miners and squeeze out smaller ones.
Michael explained that the intention was actually the opposite. The concern was that a mismatch between Bitcoin's policy and consensus rules could give large miners an advantage. The change was meant to restore that coherence.
Whether you agree with the change or not, understanding the reasoning matters.
We also talked about why the rollout became so controversial.
The timing of the Epstein Core funding alongside the change Core implemented had people questioning incentives.
Without clear messaging, and with a "trust me bro" attitude, people went into defense mode. Then Bitcoin Twitter did what Bitcoin Twitter does best.
If you want to understand why this debate exploded, this episode is worth your time.
