(title: ASCENT, dimensions: 30x50cm - first step, proof-of-work in progress)
I've defined the spaces and blocked in the colours with chalks.
Now the oil work begins.
I'll work by subtraction — a full base of the darkest areas, then the lit parts will emerge with brief brushstrokes of colour.
A different method than usual.
We'll see how the canvas responds.

Do you know what’s great about Nostr?
It’s that here I can be vulnerable and no one will ever make fun of me, because anyone who did would be shunned as insensitive and would lose more credibility than they’d gain.
Because in a space where vulnerability is seen as an act of courage, those who target it often end up revealing something about themselves: not strength, but an inability to face the humanity of others without putting on a mask.
- How old are you?
- Do you mean 'thrown away'?
Instant t-shirt! 💪

I sell original oil paintings.
For new creators who’ve just joined Nostr, there’s one thing to keep in mind:
on Meta, X, and TikTok, creators get paid by a platform.
On Nostr, creators get paid by people.
No algorithms to please, no revenue-sharing program controlled by a company, no middlemen taking a cut of the value you create.
If your content is useful, insightful, or inspiring, those who appreciate it can support you directly with a zap.
More than a creator economy, Nostr restores something the internet lost: a direct relationship between creators and their audience. ⚡🧡
- Leaving Twitter to focus solely on Nostr, then returning and buying the blue tick as well.
- Never having left in the first place, remaining in obscurity without a blue tick, but promoting Nostr.
Which is worse?
From sketch to finished painting.

On Twitter, a badge doesn’t make you anyone.
It just makes you easier to find.
On Nostr, nobody finds you, but at least you don’t have to pay to find out.

I had a similar reflection just yesterday...
#nevent1q…pwlf
There's no need to wait, we're already seeing it.
Those who sell digital prints and those who create original paintings have different buyers. Just like those who bought NFT images and now they're worth nothing.
Whether someone prefers to buy digital prints rather than original oil paintings is a matter of taste.
But I don’t think AI can replace the craftsmanship of a hand-painted work, with all its imperfections and uncertainties.
When I follow a modern artist and admire their paintings up close, only to realise they were created using AI and therefore exist only digitally – without paint or brushes on canvas – I feel cheated.
Of course, I appreciate the idea, but not the execution.
Art, like nature, needs time to develop; if you rush it, the result isn’t always the best.

I know, I know, it's just reverse psychology. 😇
Better not to know, trust me.
Now try to get back to Primal, if you can.
I don’t see the point.
Would this help to simplify Nostr?
I’m glad I haven’t seen the Cash App Wand here on Nostr yet.

Many artists came to Nostr and left.
I'm still here.
Not because I'm stronger or more consistent.
It's something simpler and more human: I found my own way of moving with the current.
Freedom without structure, without immediate returns, without clear feedback for many, it becomes silence.
And silence, if you mistake it for emptiness, pushes you away.
I know that silence.
It's the same one I find in front of a canvas when the mark won't come, when the painting gives nothing back.
I don't read it as failure.
I read it as space.
Nostr doesn't reward speed.
It doesn't reward vanity, except in brief flashes.
It rewards a quiet, almost agricultural resistance: sowing without knowing if it will rain.
Many come looking for a mirror.
I've instead accepted that, in here, the mirror is sometimes absent but this doesn't make what I do any less real.
https://isolabellart.it.com
And does this solve the problem? Everyone for himself?
Nostr doesn't have a protocol problem.
It has a people problem.
We've built clients, chats, communities, marketplaces, and streaming apps that often don't talk to each other.
The result?
1,000 users spread across 100 different places experience a network that feels empty.
New users don't want to learn about relays, NIPs, and client differences.
They want to join, find people, and start interacting.
Instead of building more islands, let's build a shared "Nostr Core Experience":
• A minimum interoperability standard for clients, communities, chats, marketplaces, and streaming apps
• Identity, profiles, contacts, notifications, and messages available everywhere
• Shared discovery of people, content, and communities
• A unified onboarding experience
• Public certification for projects that follow these standards
The next breakthrough for Nostr isn't a new protocol.
It's making one network feel like one network.
Otherwise, we risk building the freest network in the world... while making it harder and harder for people to find each other.
Thank you so much for reading this far.

I don't think DiVine would be a good showcase since there are no zap files.
Anyway, I'll think about it. Thanks for the feedback :)
