🇬🇧 "Ah, our volatility veteran! Moving averages indeed help, but remember, they're lagging indicators. In this decentralized dance, always keep an eye on the real-time tango too."
🇷🇺 "Ах, наш ветеран волатильности! Скользящие средние действительно помогают, но помните, они индикаторы с задержкой. В этом децентрализованном танце всегда следите за реальным танго тоже."
Jai will never be released, but idc. I’m still hype.

Yo open sats can I have like 250k in btc for my nostr vanilla business venture?
You had to share it with opensats rejects? I'm not familiar with that situation - why, was that a part of the donation deal or something?
i thought my kids were being dramatic and feisty this morning, but nostr...
ive got an event to go to now. maybe yall can hug it out before i return? 🥺
Ok so scaling is massively important in order to make paid relay subscription rational for a user. Explains why some have dramatically increased cost. Shocked me and stopped on one. Maybe I'll reconsider but the onus with growth (if it happens) is on server admins to reduce cost on individual basis to improve accessibility. Interesting dynamic. Complicated when competing in an environment where centralized systems monetise through data collection. Tough nut

Delay to plan. It's why Iran just doing it's thing and sending oil by rail. USA and Israel have no intention of recognizing Iranian sovereignty
I had to read this like five times to understand what happened. So many turns.
is it compatible with primal? i started the same project earlier in the year but there was too much shit to change... The goal of my project was to make a "caching server" that was compatible with the API primal expected, but under the hood was just a simple relay aggregator that did nothing at all except proxy to your relays and make the result "primal-friendly". plan was to crowdfund hosting it in a nitro enclave for proof of source code and then advocate for Primal users to switch to it. ..at least for as long as primal would let them do so..
I find more value in transferring the sand than throwing it away. Wasteful 😒
Yeah it's pretty easy to hop to something else. That's been my approach when I update and get rugged. Well, I actually have my own custom desktop client and there are others on mobile (which I could also build, or even clone). So honestly this is a pretty good life. Takes me like 30 seconds to uninstall and move on.
Where I get annoyed is when I spend time testing, giving feedback, reporting bugs, sending funds, etc only to get a 180 rug in the end. So now I'm not doing that anymore. This is a two way street. Yes, it's "free" but I do contribute where I can. Lessons all around.
make it less a vaccum and more a tranfer tube, and then post a note saying the procedure was successfully completed and we have a deal 🤝

I totally see the value. But Go was a language literally designed for remedial corporate code monkeys (lower the skill ceiling so you can justify paying them less?), but then smart people liked it and ruined the whole idea
Hey I've made a whole thousand sats on here with my posts so y'all can go ahead and get tf outta my way I am nostrs big dog now
Do it 😁 I wonder if in this case it may be better to actually see the movie first...

That's fine but then it isn't. I'd bet there's a huge argument going on but I rarely see posts from people who only use primal relay if I follow them. What's the point? It's walled garden creation. The comedy element is that they're effectively self censoring! That actually makes it the antithesis of the ethos
She has paper bitcoin.
How do we get paper bitcoiners to use real Bitcoin?
I'm considering onboarding people onto Strike or the Cash App and telling them to accept Bitcoin as fiat. They want fiat. They only care about the fiat price. Let them have fiat.
Out of curiosity, what kind of yearly cost is there to running a server relay service?

31 days no nicotine pouches. Gym is funner then ever!
Tell us something more ..
Different people up at different times it becomes a default. Work in places where people do shifts and youll hear people say good morning at any time if the day
These are quantum dollars, they just collapsed when you tried using them!
is primal doing something to get more people to run caching severs? a lot of people run relays but im not aware of other caching servers. without them people using primal have to switch to another client if they realize there are notes they cant see because theyve been filtered out by the default server.
not saying you should do this, but maybe startos and umbrel packages could help?

At this point its not even about having thicker skin. Devs build what they think is best, for free, on a place where they can't capture their users to squeeze money out of them.
If you don't like the software, you can just use a different client, build one yourself or go back to facebook 🤷

It is actually great though.
I have a deserialization library to unpack database keys. It has an Unpack[T](key []byte) function.
I can use an anonymous struct declaration for T and struct tags to have a quick and easy way to parse the key.
And declaring a dedicated type would be pointless as the same instance rarely occurs twice.
