There is one practical reason why different-size duplicates are not great. If an image is scanned by AI for moderation, it’s a redo of work and extra costs. No perceptual deduplication implemented yet
No need for deleting, just wanted to know if there was a need, given that on demand resizing is already provided

Sometimes you review the moderation queue of uploads, for things that AI couldn’t make a judgement call on, and you see some shit uploaded by people who are on nostr. News thing illegal or explicit, but damn. Really tells you a lot about them 😔
