YES! after mastering rocking jumping i eventually created a script that allowed for 1 button perfect rocket jumping (as well as several other useful actions and keybinds).

i didn't play much quake 2 back in the day because my computer at the time couldn't handle it :( but that's okay, i was hooked on starcraft by that time.
i don't believe i ever had a proper LAN party. the closest i came i guess was in high school. i built our new computer lab my senior year. then a bunch of us nerds used it to play quake. but normally when i played quake, it was via modem.

the grapple was sweet. you could use it to hang from high locations and snipe with your rocket launcher lol
absolutely. if you can remember the spawn locations and their rotation, you can dominate by locking down a few resource locations. once you have the map memorized, new players are fucked if you are already stocked up.
absolutely. some games were incredibly fast depending on the map. the server i used to play on had 2 mods. 1) they had a grappling hook, which meant you could fly around the map super fast and get to places you'd generally be unable to get to or have trouble getting to with a rocket jump and 2) the double barrel shotgun's power was turned up and was incredibly powerful at short distances.

gotta keep them kids in line. im sure they'd kick my ass in some shitty roblox game or whatnot, but real FPS games, they don't stand a chance.

original quake. i didn't play much quake 2, but i did play a decent amount of quake 3. but quake 1 was my far my largest time sink.
my whole life my dad wanted a jeep wrangler. he finally got one about 8 years ago. he loves it. he's had zero issues. it made us all really happy when he finally bought one.
last night, i played quake with my son and his buddy. they're 16. it reminded me of playing quake with my buddies when i was their age 30 years ago. except i wasn't getting fragged by an adult non stop. yes, i owned them kids last night and it was glorious.

I would assume it's coming to an end soon as they've been updating their website and help section today. Maybe end of billing cycle? Who knows.
I love OpenCode and use it all day long every day. Token usage is what gets you though, if you're still using Claude Opus.
It's still useful if you're a heavy user and can afford Max.
I have not. My Claw is using GLM 5.1 via Z.ai Coding Sub, but they announced today that it can only be used for coding and non coding is bannable after three offenses 😂 I am truly considering buying a rig and running local LLMs.

I'm considering cancelling my Claude Max subscription because my OpenClaw doesn't use it any longer and it's basically going to waste right now since I use OpenCode all day long.
Anthropic has removed Claude Code access from their Claude Pro subscription. Claude Code now requires a Max subscription.
