Ah, yeah when i publish a regular OP kind1, it only goes to my outbox relays.. From there, who knows, i do have 30 thousand plus connections scraping nostr21.com and doing whatever they do lol.
if you did want to spider out your follow list, inbound to your tray, you could run feedbuilder+strfry for it. It can stream from your outbox set, into other relays.. Pretty cool that way, very flexible strfry-router sidecar.

When I reply from RT android it will deliver the reply to your relay. Other than that, no I do not blast anything at all ever via my stuff..

Damus users only see notes from damus relay pretty much, or they "get lucky" and somehow have whatever, like, nos.lol as well. Basically, it only works if they use huge relays where everyone posts. But half of nostr has already moved on to outbox. They will simply think their feed is ded. Because their client does not connect to any of those other relays.

Damus only connects to relays that the user has specified.. So they cannot see an outbox feed without something aggregating it for them..
Its got some nice nip66 detection for ded, or just malformed stupid stuff like umbrella:4848, it will not waste time connecting to anything like that using defaults, NIP66 ftw
The thing is, most damus people (that do not do outbox) they publish to a blastr anyway. But if damus relay goes away, they cannot see any notes. This is one small step for damuskind, one giant leap for nostrkind 😅
Well, good question. With RelayTools-android app, it takes care of the publishing. The relay does not blast out to your relays, it only gathers the feed right now. I think this combination of using relays is the ultimate, but this is a work in progress, perhaps something could be done on the publishing side as well but for now, no it would not work as a proxy relay.. Only a supplemental relay in an app that understands outbox broadcasting. </thinkingemoji>

Yes but having it on an always on server (for me it was a raspberry pi) is the best, because phones can not be "always on" and streaming vs struggling to catch up over various mobile networks is the most efficient nostring. Y not both? I said to myself 🐳🌋🐛

It will automatically kick off the sync, and rebuild, so you don't have to do anything but it will take a bit to populate (but will almost immediately start the streaming)
I'm launching a new thing. It's very early stages, but it is building off the work I've already done with feedbuilder. If damus relay is indeed dying out, you're going to want this. Because it will keep you hooked to the network in the aftermath. And right now, I don't even have payments hooked up, so you can try it out for free if you want.
