@nprofile…gru9 Giusto!
🗓️ Domani sabato 4 aprile
🕒 Dalle 14:00 alle 18:00
🎟️ Ingresso libero
📍Via Castello 8, Barzanò LC

Adapt and overcome 🙏
Most people don’t defend truth. They defend the narrative that made them feel safe. That’s why every new “expert consensus” should be questioned, especially before it becomes untouchable.
My advice before moving anywhere new, especially a “blue state” from a “red state”, as someone who’s done it:
1) Make sure you can live there without another person before you commit. Life happens. Things fall apart. Don’t wind up on the street or couch surfing if you can help it.
2) Don’t assume your online friends where you’re moving will translate to IRL friends. Some will. Some won’t. Sometimes your online best bud turns out to be a shithead. Other times the person you thought was mildly irritating turns out to be one of your best friends IRL. That’s life.
3) If you work, check the job market. Cannot stress this enough. See cost of living vs the wages where you live.
4) If you’re on public aid, check local programs. See what transfers over. See what’s better or worse. See how the local welfare programs are. Don’t assume.
5) If you expect utopia when moving, prepare to be disappointed. Set your expectations at a reasonable level.
6) “Blue state” doesn’t mean progressive everywhere. It’s safer to be trans in Tulsa OK (red state) than it is in, say, Moses Lake WA (blue state). “Blue state” doesn’t always mean “trans friendly policies.” Some blue states are very fiscally conservative, and that impacts your quality of life whether you realise it or not, for example interactions with any government service (Washington is very fiscally conservative although socially liberal… pray you never need unemployment benefits here).
7) Republicans are Nazis everywhere. They are not “more moderate” in Mass or Washington or Illinois or whatever. Same bullshit dog whistle anti-woke shit. This makes purple states dangerous in a unique way. For example, Illinois didn’t have a state budget for years due to a Republican governor and lack of supermajority in the legislature for the Democrats, which wrecked many people’s lives and made the state a nightmare to live in.
8) If you’re trans, Democrats are mostly just pretending they care about you as a trans person. Their preference isn’t outright hostility, it’s structuring things against you. You can have “rights” but be no better off. Enough of them would absolutely throw you in a woodchipper if it meant passing the laws they wanted to. Sure it beats being in a red state but everything still has this vibe of “I’m safe… for now.”
9) People who say “blue state cities are lawless shitholes” are wrong. People who say “they’re just as safe as the suburbs and you’ll never have any issues even in ‘rough’ areas” are also wrong.
10) Moving to a “blue state” isn’t going to cure every problem in your life. It can help some problems (abusive family, policy violence, etc.). It can make others much worse (cost of living, alienation, etc.). Remember that you can wind up homeless, too.
And the last thing, I won’t number it because it’s so important:
The cops are bastards in blue states too. Sometimes worse. Seattle police department sent more cops to January 6th than any other department. We are no closer to abolishing them than we were 10 years ago. They are turning this place into a panopticon. There are cameras everywhere now. Just saying.

Oh and if you run your newsletter on Beehiiv we can help you implement this.

https://www.bitcoinrewards.app/blog/earn-bitcoin-newsletter-rewards
We just shipped something I've been wanting to build for a while. The Oshi newsletter now pays subscribers real Bitcoin for engaging with every email.
Here's how it works: you get a newsletter, you answer a quick poll, you earn sats. That's it. Every email is an earning opportunity. As far as I know, no other newsletter does this.
The first question people always ask is "what about bots?" Fair. Here's how we handle it: your sats accumulate in your rewards portal, but to unlock them, you need to make a qualifying purchase at a business in the Oshi network. A real purchase, at a real business, by a real person. No bot army can fake that.
But here's the part I actually like. It's not just an anti-abuse mechanism. If you play your cards right, it effectively works out to an additional 10% back on your purchases. You're earning sats passively by reading a newsletter, discovering high-quality, independently owned businesses offering Bitcoin rewards, and then when you find one you love (and you will, because these are genuinely great businesses), your newsletter sats unlock on top of whatever that merchant already offers.
The flywheel: you engage with the newsletter, you earn sats, you discover a business, you shop, your sats unlock, the merchant gets a new customer, you get rewarded for all of it. Everyone wins.
We're just getting started with this. More frequent sends, merchant spotlights, and more.

Listening to conservative and liberal justices seemingly tag-teaming to defeat the government's position on birthright citizenship is truly breathtaking.

Nice try 😄 Had me for a second.
@nprofile…pl6d @nprofile…850x si lo so, ma su Mac è un disastro
Agreed. You don’t do anything worth noticing without catching heat.
Speak freely, build boldly, ignore the noise.

Fair point. Like training, consistency matters. I agree that quality matters more than numbers right now, and I hope Nostr can grow without losing what makes it different. Glad to be here 😁😁😁
Haha, but do you really think most people care about all that? For Nostr to break through, it has to offer something truly unique. Built-in wallets are a huge advantage, but I don’t think that alone is enough. Anyway, that’s a much bigger conversation.
It’s not easy. The influence of the big social media platforms is massive, and people rarely give something different a real chance. But I really want Nostr to succeed.
gm nostr 😁 🥐

Like many software developers, I fear AI will be taking most of our jobs.
So in conjunction with my friend, Louise Blockidge, the best tradesperson I've ever met. We're starting a bootcamp to retrain software developers as plumbers; the pay is great, it won't get take by AI and when you fix something it stays fixed, unlike every microservice I've ever deployed.

I hope all of this ends very soon and that peace returns to your life. Sending you love and strength.
You don't get to write people off as unreachable without even trying. That is not righteous fury it is willful negligence. If resentment is getting in the way then you need to process the resentment and let it go.
Transformative justice is hard. Do it anyway.

If the left squanders the opportunity to expand class consciousness while MAGA is in a state of receptivity, don't be surprised when liberals scoop them up and we lose a once in a lifetime chance at strengthening our numbers.
