Far be it for me to argue in favor of any AI, but what was the issue? Was it that it said there was challe.ges in getting the settings right? Because that still seems like a legit response to me.

I am very pro-freedom. Not open-border freedom, but I am a civil-rights maximalist.
Some of the policies that Trump supporters advocate for go too far.
Don't forget that Trump was a democrat until he saw a path to the Whitehouse.

What really builds social networks us genuine human interaction, not bots, not influencers, or whatever next hype folks in a business meeting think will 'drive engagement' sure that's cool for shifting product on existing platforms but its also the main reason people think said platforms are shit.
I do think Nostr suffers from its core users being more privacy focussed, which is pretty ironic given the open nature of the protocol.
What we need is some more oversharers to keep some fun conversations going.

Ok i love #ditto, but also it drives me nuts. Everyday i apply my theme to profile, and everyday i have to do it again.
I adopt an egg. It's ridiculous but also cute. I curse at the "coins" and for allowing myself to go there. But i do it and it's cute. But then it's gone. Ded! No trace. Emtional attachement ripped in the shredder! I bathed the thing! I even samg lulabies to it. Until i noticed the app wasn'y getting any mic permissions anyways. And sure, I can make a new one and i have new magic "coins" again. But no! where is my bochibo #blobbi?

so i think: "hey gotta be my relays" so make sure they all accept the funky kinds. But no, no blobbi, also add my theme back to profile. So i accuse the ditto relays, and disable the default relays in the app. But no, now the entire app is empty!
I'm sure it will work eventually. i really want it to. I hope this feedback finds an eye but doesn't make it pink because it comes out of love but also some frustration and Ouzo.

With this, your "writes" will are bigger but fewer. The "reads" are a little smaller, but not community level small. If you try this & still get a lot of bot replies, let me know. We can try other, more restricted ones. Does that make sense?

Awesome, that's perfect... you're already halfway there. Before I go typing out a list of relays, is there anything specific you want to be different? Like, do you want to reduce spam replies on your notes? Or do you want to leave big relays completely (and not be seen by a portion of the people using them)? Or trim back on data consumption?
I've had a couple people end up disappointed because we went too restricted too quickly 😅 I don't want to do that again, so I'd rather try to tailor this to what you're wanting.
That's a big part of why I haven't dabbled.

Every part of Nostr that relies on hardcoded "big relays" is a bug and a gate to spamland waiting to be used.
Spam gets to everything, whether it's malicious, automated spam or just someone handwriting something in the wrong place because they were confused.
Even the relay reviews section isn't exempt:
