there’s Tear-thumb and a grass that has backward spines that create awful paper cuts. Some hawthorns have wicked long spikes that are multi-spiked as well. Hogweed is an invasive (in the us) and dangerous plant 😹
Also castor oil bean I believe creates a horrible volatile oil that can cause skin welts if you walk too close to it on a hot sunny day. … don’t ask me why I know all this stuff 😉😹

Yeah, the proper English word(s) for this is/(are) : Outrageous, Bigoted, Hateful, Cruel, Crippling, and Disgusting… regardless of your religion, race, or gender orientation… this should be explained to everyone who uses such words about discrimination. Because being “strict” (unkind) to one of us is being unkind to us all.

This ^ , this makes me so weary, tired (& somewhat angry) that I hear people saying things like this… & *some* are definitely not naive & are very learned people (who are much older than me & have had a lot more experiences) But they don’t seem to understand, well, this ^!
I keep fighting them back when they say things like this. Sometimes it just comes down to “this is not the country I’m fighting for” & I just tell them that they are going to make it worse by talking like that .

I also want to add… I grew up with a father who was like a “Kentucky lawyer” and would find a myriad of alternatives and therefore questions (I also get the feeling that he’s distantly related to Socrates 😹) … so yes people, there is always an alternative, doesn’t matter if it actually works in this universe or not because there is always something that can “make it work” if you keep thinking about other alternatives !😹

Those who don’t know when “enough is enough” have succumbed to the illness of “greed” and are constantly trying to prove to themselves that they can “do better”
Which is ridiculous and wrong because there is so much more to life than that… “money can’t buy everything” song is going through my head right now 😹
On another note, it’s nice to see other human beings who value “a life well lived” and are content with what they’ve got!

what is double taxation is paying “income tax” on money you get from your “income tax refund” which people don’t understand that it’s what you already paid to the government and are getting back. The wealthy don’t see this as a problem because they have so much it doesn’t affect them. But inheriting wealth does, so that’s where they complain. Inheritance tax is not “double taxation” no matter how you frame it.

I have to agree with you on this one. I’m not holding my breath. Some of them will come round, but that’s not going to be enough. We definitely need to bring out the unsure and new voters to turn this around.

I finally joined mastodon after years of avoiding social media platforms.

Now a bit more about myself, I love cats and nature, and pretty much every animal over large groups of human beings !😂
