Ah, I see the "Your account must be verified, click here" scams have spread from Mastodon to PixelFed servers.
I'm quite sure they're on Bsky as well, but probably getting squashed quick (that's harder in AP-fediverse space).

I have SOOOoooo many thoughts on this. There's huge room "in the fediverse", by whatever protocols you define it, for promotional content.
Bsky *could* truly innovate and get it right. The scaffolding is there. But it's a little rickety.
I fear though, there's a complete lack of real creativity or human systems thinking, and they're just going to fuck up and trigger the platform decay all over again, faster than before.

Oh, ooohhhh... this is a very interesting move. I approve! There will no doubt be wobbles as this transition goes ahead, but in general, moving ownership, and by extension, mgmt/governance, into a public, NFP realm is excellent.
This is a leverage point, this is how you shift a system, even one as big as an old elephant.

Ugh, I have finished the garter stitch hem of a sweater back and now need to start a section that includes "place marker" instructions.

This woman could totally bind me into a cult if she were in any way inclined to do such a thing, except she isn't.
I have a real sense she is taking her place as a future ancestor with great sincerity, and living her working days with humour and generosity. I don't know if she would at ALL consider herself in either of those ways, but for me as a learner, I've just met someone who is clearly top-five of teachers I have EVER encountered.

I have decided I need to resign from everything right now and sign on with my current professor to just follow her around carrying her luggage for her and listening in on what she does with her days.
Every week, this 3-hour class is a complete dopamine high, straight to the brainstem.
I am struggling mightily with the course (not to mention my second, completely async one), just because there is SO MUCH to be fascinated with, I'm just tunnelling a whole network through my digital doom pile.

Curious if you've tried Sober Carpenter beers?
I am not a beer drinker, but SC has the best dealcoholized apple cider I've found so far. It's not going to be mistaken for any of my favourite few hard ciders, but it's better than a lot of the sugary wobbly-pop ones.
I'd be interested in knowing if I can recommend their beers also, given that I don't do beer myself.
