In that case I'd go for a second opinion or, demand to have someone else within that practise.
I've found my optician will talk through if a situation arises like this, and make their recommendations, but ultimately, it's your decision, not theirs.

I've always made sure I go to the same optician regularly and get my eyes checked. This is one thing I never miss of skimp on.

I guess it's like being at a crowded party where you kind of know all the guess in passing but don't always get to interact with them all, certainly not on a daily basis.
That's okay. I think we all know what works best for us and, hopefully, how to balance all the noise.
I worry sometimes if I'm busy elsewhere people will think I'm ignoring them as I'm usually very chatty. I'm sure that's just me.

I'm hovering around 90 people who I follow, much more and I think I'll find it harder to keep up never mind interact with.
I definitely think limiting the number of people you follow is a way of interacting more with them and on a level that's more personal.
