What a riot. So investors got mad that after 2008 banks couldn’t loan as much to prevent bank runs, so they rushed to non-regulated private lenders. These private lenders are becoming insolvent, and people can’t pull their money out because it’s being lent to AI companies.
So investors want to go back to normal banks but won’t unless the government lets banks over-leverage themselves more. Creating the exact same issue people are leaving private credit for.

Well the way sequences alignment works sequences which aren’t similar enough to make a good reference or allign just get thrown out. Meaning the stat is actually the parts of the human genome which are similar are 99.99% similar since we throw out all the dissimilar stuff as “sequencing errors”.
A proper study using long read nano pore sequencing would basically clear all this up.

He completely hated evolutionary biologists for being hacks since they heavily believe in parsimony (basically occams razor in assuming the minimum amount of changes for two species) without any evidence. Parsimony is heavily biased towards divergent evolution even though genetics and modern fossil records show convergent evolution is way way more common then evolutionary biologists think.

Like this game has two seperate VN campaigns which use different art styles to represent the the different narrators yet westerners lost their minds over it. Same with any guest artist doing a comic. Just learn to appreciate the art rather then being an autism spaz

Switched from gear lever to AppManager to manage my app images with a GUI since GearLever's latest update just totally broke the ability to download any updates from zsync.
AppManager makes everything work like macOS which is nice.

I don’t hate RFK but him being associated with this admin gives me pause. I just find it hypocritical for him to rally about how our food is poisoned and such while the president roles back regulations on PFAS in the water and emissions (regardless of any climate change issue people breathing in CO2 exhaust is very bad).
It’s jus annoying to me when influencers associated with him are selling incredibly pricey products free from all these issues while the government actually allows them to continue.

Hearing conservatives talk about welfare always just reveals how they know nothing about it. “Erm fat black women are all abusing unemployment!!!!” Unemployment pays out $390 a week for like 3 months, and you need to have worked at your job atleast a year to qualify.
My companies ceo walked into a meeting, fired everyone, and said he didn’t know when we would get our last two paychecks yet I can’t even qualify for unemployment because I only worked there 7 months. Yet it’s so important to prevent people from grifting like $1200 off the system meanwhile CEOs steal 10a of thousands of dollars in wages which I will likely only get back once the bankruptcy court goes through.

One insidious bit about the AI propaganda is how it pretends these agents are automatous to deny the actual human labor behind using them. It’s a pain to get anyone hired to your team or get any help now. Any hire requests which hit hr on up are hit with the question “can’t AI just do this?” Even operating within the MBA/hype world grow where these ai agents are truly as good as the ads claim it ignores the fact that people still have to direct them.
Senior developer still has to review all the code and design done by a team of 10 ai agents, who have no accountability and ability to learn. You are basically having someone do 10 other jobs for no pay under the guise of manning them more efficient.

@nprofile…5kp5 most 5th gen games are actually tiny once you factor out all the FMVs. Basically games without heavy use of FMVs could clock in at under 50 mbs. In fact RE2 was meant to be one disc but at the last minute the audio compression was found to be bugged so Capcom just had them ship a second disc rather then fix the bug lol.
