Yes, once you make it past the third day, you get introduced to another technique which you use for the remainder.
I'm also a big fan of self-retreat, but it's definitely helpful to get introduced in a traditional way to ask questions and set a solid foundation for solo practice.

Amazing! I life in a small town and recently been very inspired to try to start something up in my local community as well. Almost too many ideas are coming in, but it might start with a local meetup group and hopefully build toward a circular economy.

The relationship between hate and laughter is really interesting. Sometimes hate can be embedded in laughter as well. Through caustic, cutting criticism for example.
When I examine my own experiences with hate, I consider it to be intense, unintegrated masculine energy, and the gift of working consciously to transform it being increased energy to defend boundaries and create in the world.
