Do you run Mixxx on macOS? We need your help to test two fixes: accessing a traktor library from sandboxed Mixxx (https://github.com/mixxxdj/mixxx/pull/16205) and also rekordbox (https://github.com/mixxxdj/mixxx/pull/16237)
Follow those links for more details and links to download testing images.
This should be a safe process, but If you have any doubts, back up your settings and library just in case! (https://manual.mixxx.org/2.5/en/chapters/appendix/settings_directory)

The open source community lost an important member recently. Robert Kaye, aka mayhem, was the founder, inspirator and motivator of MusicBrainz. We published a short memorial to him on our blog.

Calling all radio DJs! Even though Mixxx was not originally designed for you, there are a lot of you out there and we want to better serve your community. We have engaged a student through Winter Of Code to improve our Fader Start support, but we need your help! Please chime in on this discourse thread or talk to us in Zulip and help us better understand your needs:

Do you know C/C++? Do you want to work on a challenging pitch-detection algorithm? Mixxx is working on improving our responsiveness under digital vinyl control and we need someone to pair with our project lead to help co-develop an approach that balances responsiveness, accuracy, and resilience to bad input data. This is a great opportunity to stretch your signal processing and algorithmic muscles in a real-world application. Hit us up on Zulip! https://mixxx.zulipchat.com/

Mixxx 2.5 Stable Released
As is our Christmas tradition, we have a present under the tree for everyone (even if you don't have a tree!) The biggest change is that #Mixxx is now built for QT6 instead of QT5. While this means leaving certain older operating systems behind, supporting QT6 is an important step in keeping Mixxx relevant on newer operating systems.
We also have a bunch of updates to controller configs.

original post:
We are looking for someone running #macOS to do a "smoke test" for the next version of #Mixxx. Just download, install, and play back a few tracks. As long as you don't immediately find a major issue (crash, computer explodes, unable to play music) then it's a success.
