Another monthly record of February highest temperature was the exceptional 69F set yesterday at Salt Lake City, UT which tied the same temperature of Feb 28th,1972.
But now we are at the beginning of the month and it's 5/6F warmer than anything happened that early.

Just in:October 2024 Globally,according to NOAA, had an average temperature of 15.32C which is +1.32C above the 20th-century average and was the 2nd hottest on record just 0.05C behind October 2023.

October 2024 in Puerto Rico was another record hot month.
Average temperature was 85.6F/29.8C, +2.8F above normal and it beat 2023 as the hottest October,like almost all months of the year.

The West heat wave is unprecedented from 113F in Phoenix (it can do it again tomorrow) to 95F in Canada and above all 48.5C or 119.3F in Mexico, WORLD HEAT RECORD for the last week of September.

The "Texan" heat wave is diluting but spreading in all Central USA but records keep falling.
Today Amarillo minimum temperature of 78F tied that of 14 Aug 1936 as hottest August night in history.
The heat will keep spreading and diluting in the next couple of days.
