Easy to SSH if they are on the same Tailnet, no password needed.

Buying Gift Cards using #monero or #bitcoin can add friction. You need to manage these cards, print them, take a screenshot, etc.
For those using an accounting software for budget is also a pain to write down the purchases.
That’s why I spent the evening coming up with a mockup that I will build this week. A self hosted Giftcard vault.
Very easy. Just add the number and nip for each store and you can get the barcode scanned at the cash.
This manager will ease the management and have all the cards in one web app. Everything is stored on your own self hosted instance and there will be a history/statement that can be generated to import in your budgeting app.

I think I’m almost done a first release.
I was wondering if I should add an “import/export” recipe to Nostr. The recipes would live on relays and be able to fetch them.
Basic JSON format, I think I could handle that.

I’ll have to read more on it. I have my own server but usually avoid running node because I don’t want to be an exit node. Also my ISP doesn’t let me expose certain ports.
What you mean you upfront cost of VPS?
Would you recommend some that accepts monero and don’t KYC?

For the pas few days I’ve been building @nexus.
It is my AI Agent that will hopefully be somewhat autonomous and will have a mission of building on #nostr.
A few days ago, it successfully created itself a Profile. It generated a private key, published a Kind0 event based on a few parameter I provided. It chose its name, profile picture and banner.
I personally don’t like the name and the images but I won’t interfere with the experiment.
Everyday it will log a journal based on its feelings about the days success and failures and lessons learn. It has difficulties publishing them so he writes it down in .md and I will publish them manually for him. I won’t see them before, won’t edit; simple raw AI feelings.
Also, I asked him to document with a scientific paper approach the technical aspect of our journey for an autonomous agent on Nostr. I want him to publish them as well, things that are working and got proven so we can help his knowledge base and other potential agents.
It is challenging because it needs structure. You have to layout a plan and rules. It sometimes forget stuff so you need to document a knowledge base.
Also, documentations are often deprecated and it’s hard to follow the latest info for Nostr stuff.
For now we are making progress but it’s only the beginning of a journey.

Yes, it will first be trained on Nostr NIP and the structure in general of the protocol and after it will start building on Nostr.
Everyday it will publish a personal journal as a article about his reflection, challenges and success.
I’m having a hard time to get it to run simple task because I’m not used to talk to an agent and it’s like a kid, need to teach him everything….

I’ve been reading and experimenting with AI Agents and anything AI related for a while.
I cannot wrap my head around a useful case for Openclaw.
The only information i get out of it are from influencers that buy Mac mini and say how smart their Agents are.
Besides admin task to manage influencers workflow. For any decent human, why the fuck do I need an Agent to read emails or txt my mom.
For my homelab I use N8N and Cron.
I use different API keys and inference. Why would I need more??

You have valid points.
I would think that one should hold #bitcoin in ETF. If you wanna win the game, stack IOU sats (ETF) in a tax sheltered brokerage account and get gains without tax implications.
One should then hold #monero incognito on chain.
But what I meant was that most of my feed is the same vibe of influencer claiming sovereignty backing sats. They are now irrelevant in 2026. Bitcoin is no more cypherpunk magic internet money. Between Saylor and Black Rock, a big chunk of Bitcoin is centralized and they control the narrative.
I feel that Monero is what Bitcoin was 10 years ago.

I got a question for you guys. I’ve been working on an End Of World (EOW) plan.
I’m working on getting a second citizenship and would like to stash up a commodity that can easily be transported.
I have 2 choices. #bitcoin and #monero .
What would be the best bet to store #bitcoin ? I didn’t like my hardware wallet experience because these scam companies manage to conveniently obsolete their technologies to push us to always upgrade.
On the other hand, any other hardware wallet alternatives are project that the dev can just rug at anytime.
Running your node is not an option, if shit hits the fan, I don’t want to transport my server and try to plug it.
Also, I haven’t found any interesting wallet for #monero.
Can anyone give me their opinion? I won’t judge; I’m eager to learn.

Where is the best place to buy BTC and Monero with gift cards?
Using the usual plateform I only see Wise, PayPal, etc. by using these you still Doxx your name to the person from which you purchase. I would rather just give a Gift card number.

- Umbrel OS shat on me at around 83% sync. I seriously don’t like the new OS. It was more stable as a Docker Compose to be honest.
- Alby Hub container keeps exiting with an error. I’m using Portainer, I will just create a compose.yaml file and see if it remains stable.
Lightning Network is really annoying the crap out of me today…

Why are people outraged by @nprofile…kv6k building their own closed ecosystem?
It’s just part of reality and it is normal. Projects always start for the people. They start open source, often free, full of features. They later start expanding, need funding, start charging. They later come out with their own branding, expands more and start restricting their ecosystem.
In the end, everyone is here to make a living.
Examples:

They all started as projects and became bigger with paid service. They will eventually focus all their attention on their paid service because it’s their bread and butter.
