a minha mãe tinha essa ideia de teclados que dão choque quando a pessoa escrever umas expressões nadaver muito comuns nos documentos que ela tinha que analisar no trabalho, é um mercado inexplorado de eletrônicos esse

concordo com a ideia de manter o otimismo, mas acho que não dá pra negar o problema de ter quase tudo que consumimos online curado fora do nosso controle (pelos """algoritmos"""), em especial a dificuldade de aplicar filtros tecnicamente triviais (ordenar posts por data de publicação ou produtos pelo preço).
Gosto do framework do @npub1fdr…lvhs da #enshittification , as plataformas começam boas e úteis, e depois que arrecadam muitos usuários e os "prendem", deterioram. Acho que isso não acontecia na escala e velocidade que acontece hoje.

but "the govt knowing my overleaf account" is not the same as "the govt tracking my every move". I already have multiple identities online, why not one more with a more reliable recovery option? Why is that so different from using google or fb to login into stuff?

idk, i feel like we should be able to have authentication treated as a public good of sorts without it decaying into dictatorship style surveillance? Or do you think just the government having this data somewhere is a risk not worth taking?
I think privacy and secrecy are a big deal but I wouldn't mind the govt knowing my fb account for ex because I already treat it as something very public

the way google is the way most people "authenticate" online but there's no way to talk to a person to fix an issue makes me feel we should gave a govt service for online authentication. I think we should be able to go, idk, to a post office and say "look this is my account and i lost access, here's my id and fingerprint" or something
