that's exactly what i do. I then have a bash script that hardlinks stuff into folders that external programs then fiddle with for the whole media setup and what not depending on what tag and category. It's not beautiful, but it works

it works fine for me with categories, tags and running external scripts upon completion which is basically everything i want from it. I guess i could basically do this with any client but i don't wanna rock the boat too much now that everything just works™
Oh, and you can run other webui's like flood or whatever if the webui is dogshit slow. For me it's not _that_ slow, but i don't have tens of thousands of torrents.

when i settled with qbit some years ago i swapped from rtorrent because it generally was just a pain. Granted, development was very stalled at the time and qbit just had more features and was actually working without taking a crap every other week. The webui is a bit slow (sometimes) and that's about the only complaint i currently have. It's currently running 3300~ torrents.

yeah i know. I've been following the project for some odd 10 years now or something and dabbled with using it from time to time. It's not horrible, it's just worse than what i already use (at least for my use case). Hopefully that changes down the line

ah, that reminds me of the "Robotech" release that i heard the US got. It's SDF Macross, SDC Southern Cross and Genesis Climber MOSPEADA hacked together to 85 episodes.

oh, also they basically dubbed anime and sold it as OVA's, and it was ALWAYS made by ONE dude that made ALL the voices. One of those recently received english subs, it's the trash mecha anime "Starzinger" that famously was dubbed by one person and sold on VHS (i have some of them)
