Navajo Nation law enforcement to begin blocking transport of mined #uranium through their territory.
This a year or so after Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren wrote a letter to Joe Biden expressing his concern and it falling on deaf ears.
This is a huge test of tribal sovereignty and an important time to show up for #Navajo nation and #indigenous communities.

Glad everyone is getting COVID just a couple months before the new vaccine drops. 🤦‍♀️ Curious if the vaccine approach with change. The previous assumption that COVID will be seasonal similar to influenza and every other respiratory virus seems quite disproven at this point. Part of a group in #anchorage #Alaska trying to get a #streetmedic group off the ground. Any folks in other cities/communities with resources or advice based on past/present experiences? I loved working as a nurse practitioner for a bit outside the insurance system. My favorite example was providing care to a weaver. She wove me a basket in exchange. Another person was a potter and they made me a mug. Most paid cash yes, but I loved operating in a space where trading goods and services outside of a cash economy was still possible in the 21st century united(?) states

Remembering the #abortion provider and advocate Dr. Greg Tiller. He was murdered by an anti-abortion terrorist 15 years ago today.
Prior to his murder he had survived being shot in an assassination attempt and also had his clinic firebombed. Despite this he continued his work up until his murder.

In defense of university administrators, they are doing an excellent job teaching young people that whether it be a university or a business, institutions don't give a shit about you and have no qualms about throwing you under the bus to protect their interests.

If anyone out there can remind me that it is indeed possible for life to be enjoyed and not solely endured it would be greatly appreciated.
The most insidious manifestation of depression is that it makes it impossible to imagine life in its absence. Invariably I have an "oh fuck I was in worse shape than I realized" moment when it finally lifts. Thanks friends. ❤️
