I have been reading about the Canberra Alliance for Participatory Democracy (CAPaD). There's so much going on around town to engage with politics as all levels. And improving our representation and better outcomes. 💪

Any hope of preserving much / some / any of the leasure facilities at BigSplash probably a lost cause after today's decision.
No surprise that (never) Geocon was approved to proceed with 25m pool at Phillip.
Has NO ONE associated with govt considered where all the folk living in the apartments are going to go for leisure?*

Yep. Its a tired, stale govt that could do with renewal. And some MLA being removed from portfolios.
And I include the Greens as the joint architects of the current dire state of affairs ... (anyone mention the **** health levy...)
But, I am going to question the ability of ANYONE to effectively manage and deliver results across the following portfolios:

In addition, works will be starting on Macnamara, the new suburb in Ginninderry.
West Belconnen folk will be screwed over the coming years.

No Rapid buses beyond Belconnen Town Centre.
West Belco will have suburban buses only. Have to change at Belconnen bus hub for suburbs.
The R2 and R3 will terminate at Belconnen.

A Googke search for 'surgeons that operate at Qbn hospital' suggests these sites. No idea if useful but may help with more info and perhaps Drs to consider.
Might take a bit of sleuthing. Good luck.

yep. The R2 and R3 that service West Belconnen have both been scrapped. Hopeless. No rapid to the city and onwards.
And noting Kippax is a rapidly (see what I did there) growing hub as folk in Strathnairn / Ginninderry also feed into use of the buses.
Not happy. At all.
While it might be a Fed Govt project, it's no surprise the disaterous response and devestating changes to the bus network are in the hands of..... aaah, yes, Mr Steel.

I think part of the problem for Ken Behrens trying to access public health services at TCH is that its also a primary care centre for regionally located folk. So its a larger pool of folk accessing already limited services here. And then triaging care needs pushes folk down the list.
Even tho NSW govt pays, it doesn't change the number of beds / surgery slots available.
But a year of waiting isn't ok regardless.
Perhaps a chat with the GP about accessing services in NSW - Queanbeyan, Sydney, Goulburn (?), other - may speed things up (and assuming Canberra folk can access piblic health services in NSW ie a reciprocal agreement?)

Sorry but I dont really see the issue rather it seems to be pragmatic and sensible. He has confirmed supply and delivered / advanced some of his election commitments. He is using influence as all would, I suspect.
He remains on cross bench and says he will work with all. We should give him - and the others - a chance.
Sorry but I don't agree he 'has' to work with other Independents 'just' because they are Independent.
I reckon they will all be negotiating and 'doing deals' at one point or other given the election outcome, so no need for outrage yet IMHO.

Belconnen also needs servicing. Personally I would rather see a network set up in more central areas with feeder busses ie lines to woden, hospitals, bruce and belconnen etc b4 tuggeranong and west belconnen..... 😁
