You can do it on the command line with noscl and nostril, but I don't know of any others.
Used to host POW as a service on https://powrelay.xyz/work.html but no one was buying so it's broken right now. Working on a powbot you can tag to buy pow for your events, hopefully that will be more popular. 😅

I think pow is better for discovery than spam prevention. People might be ok with paying for pow for an occasional announcement you want people to pay attention to, but mobile users will not want to drain their batteries to post likes.

Great read!
I guess you'd want relays to have websocket connection slots that clients could bid for with POW, then storing events could work like powrelay or maybe there'd be some kind of time expiration component. I just wanted to collect most precious events in one place but resource allocation with pow would be awesome too.

Also, events that no longer meet the minimum pow requirements get kicked out. So the more pow, the longer it'll be stored.

wss://powrelay.xyz will send you the events with most POW that match your query.
I like POW because it is a trustless solution to content discovery. If you care about the content of a note, you should be willing to spend money mining POW for it. If not, then it's probably ok for people not to pay attention to it.
