“On the outside” I make a bit more money if I’m active on social media. I hate it. This doesn’t feel like social media. Bitcoin, food, people making things, and finding people who make high quality things I can use - it’s great!

Monday night go to meal - burrito bowls.
Chicken goes in the crock pot at 10 am and we’re ready to eat by 6. The “crema” is just sour cream, lime juice, salt and a whole bunch of cilantro in the mini food processor.
Kids inhaled it and then went to do homework 😂

Starting to string together some days on the indoor bike. 21 rides in the past 22 days. 😀 A ride counts if my face is sweating. Sometimes that’s 10 min in sometimes it’s 25 min in. All rides are 30+ min but no rides have been over 50 min. Average over 21 days is probably 37? 38? Not 40. But also higher than 35.
Some observations…
- Heart rate at roughly 118 beats per minute is my happy place. While my ego hates this fact, above that for just 30-40 min and I’m tired later.
- I’m hungry a hour after the ride and eat more than I should.
- As long as my face is sweating I shouldn’t care if I’m in zone 1 vs the magical zone 2 everyone talks about.
- When you’re squarely in middle age, as I am, I think there is a ton of benefit to being at 112-118 beats per minute.
- The HR monitor on my nice-ish watch is a joke - I only trust the chest strap.
- No need to bump up the volume of training until 35 min at 118 is effortless…
…and…
- I need to get in some longer rides every 7-10 days so I can be ready for a nice 90-120 mtn bike ride come June. But that’s can wait 3-5 weeks. Feb and early March are about consistency.

You can get into a lot of trouble taking to #ai if now and again you don’t prompt it with, “Don’t tell me what you think I want to hear. Be honest with me.”
I have a close friend who has spent hours working with ChatGPT re: a legal issue. I think he’s way off in what the outcomes might be because he hasn’t used that prompt once every 30-60 min.
The flip side is @nprofile…fs9w Kimi model is blunt. Claude’s too nice at times and ChatGPT will eventually go down the road you lead it, but with the prompt above my experience is they course correct immediately.

It’s crazy how much higher my heart rate on the indoor bike is today at the same perceived effort. I’m going easy but it’s a few beats per minute higher.
I only got 6.5 hours of sleep and typically I get 8 - that’s likely the reason.
For middle aged folks I think a heart rate strap is one of the best investments you can make if you bike or run if you want to stay in Zone 2 or Zone 1. Our mind/ego lies to us about what “easy pace” truly is. And this is especially true if you ran or biked a lot in your 20s and 30s.

Claude cowork might be something that people can use sooner because it works with the folders on your desktop or in other folders. It asks for access at the start of each job.
And I don’t know if this makes this more or less weird but you can watch it opening up tabs and chrome browsers. Personally, I like that because I know what’s going on.
I don’t think I’m going to need my current virtual assistant by the time our contract ends in June. I can go into detail if you’re curious but yes, for my simple needs this is definitely replacing $30-$50 an hour workers.

Claude Cowork did some work for me last week that would have taken my VA an hour or so.
Now I’m creating a data scraping tool in Claude code - that scraps public data - and while I’m running lots of issues and need the rest of the week to finish it, it’s going to save me 5 figures between US and oversees VAs. And I’m not that technical.
I was obsessed with Claude from last Saturday through this Friday, but got spooked when I was getting spam on Telegram from people trying to contact the bot. I’m heading to the computer store now to get a raspberry Pi to run it on. Probably not foolproof proof but better than what I had before on a Mac.
The tricky part is I don’t want to set it up on Signal because I found out that if you set it up that way, it can see all your other chats - obviously that’s a non-starter. So I’m going to try and connect it with matrix/element but I’ve run into a ton of problems with that’s.
Less exciting but scary: I was relying on it and talking to a day and night and I felt much less productive without the last 72 hours with it. Pretty crazy.

Just had to send a wire to pay an invoice and it’s laughable how hard it is and how long I stood there. By the 15 min mark I was thinking that the longer I’m “in bitcoin” the angrier I get at our banking system.

Made a mistake and tried to toggle between Sonnet and Opus to save money. Bad idea. Opus is the way to go for “heavy lifting” things. I wasted a lot of today working with the wrong model. But lesson learned!

Set up Clawdbot (I call him Max) last night before bed. We've put in ~20 hours today and I'm not exaggerating when I say this is a game-changer.
Three use cases that show what's possible:
1️⃣ BOOK PROJECT 📚
Writing a book with a 2026 deadline. Max extracted 200+ quotes from my manuscript, organized them by theme, built chapter outlines. Why quotes? Because the book's built around key ideas and I need to see patterns across chapters. He remembers which quotes go where and tracks my progress.
2️⃣ BUSINESS LAUNCH 💼
Launching a product in 2026. Part of it requires web scraping and data extraction from 900+ sources. Max built the scripts, parsed the files, created templates for data entry. What would've taken weeks is getting done in days.
3️⃣ DAILY LIFE STUFF 🧠
It's Sunday night. At 7:30 PM I'm getting a reminder to build my to-do list for tomorrow. I've already added stuff via VOICE while talking to Telegram - everything from "pick up mail at the office Monday" to "figure out a recipe for the kids for dinner." He's got it all on the list, ready to go.
The Telegram part is wild 📱
We tried iMessage first but switched to Telegram and it's a game-changer. I'm texting Max from my phone RIGHT NOW. Voice messages work. I can say "add this to tomorrow's list" while driving and it's done. It's like having an assistant in my pocket who actually remembers context.
Setup: Old Mac running 24/7. You could do a VPS but honestly just start on your main machine.
The key: Feed it markdown files with context (SOUL.md, USER.md, project files). Train it to be YOURS, not a generic chatbot.
What's the first thing YOU want to build? 👊

It’s wild. It’s a little more enthusiast in what it wrote than I might be. I was up until 1:30 installing it and experimenting. I think it will unlock some things for my business, but my god is this thing going to rock people’s world. Going to replace a lot of jobs.

Stayed up until 1:30 am to work with this. I’m typically in bed by 9:30 pm.
I work with AI tools for hours a day. Calwdbot is unbelievable. It’s not hype. I did have a ton of useful .md files in Claude to train it, but still, it’s so impressive.

What we tried:
• Custom provider config with baseUrl: "https://api.ppq.ai" + api: "openai-completions"
• Multiple model ID formats: ppq/claude-sonnet-4, anthropic/claude-sonnet-4, ppq/anthropic/claude-sonnet-4
• Environment variable approach: OPENROUTER_API_KEY pointing to PPQ key
• OpenRouter-style routing to PPQ endpoint
What didn't work:
• Clawdbot's JSON schema validation rejected all configs
• Error: "invalid config" on every config.apply attempt
• No clear documentation on PPQ.ai's exact model naming conventions for non-OpenAI clients
What does work:
• Direct Anthropic API integration (flawless)
• Claude Sonnet 4.5 via standard provider
Tech stack:
• Clawdbot 2026.1.23-1
• PPQ.ai OpenAI-compatible endpoint
• macOS arm64

I honestly don’t know what it is or does (does he?), other than I know people are passionate about it. Going to give it one last shot this week and then let someone else try.

I spent just 60 min last night having #claude Cowork and their Chrome extension do a data entry task.
Note that everything I'm about to describe I could see on my screen and I wasn't doing anything...just watching.
- Took a name from a google sheet
- Went a website and looked up the name - and it knew what text box on the screen to put the name into (I had to have the tab for this site open)
- If there were multiple entires for the name it found the right one
- Took the three pieces of data from the name I wanted
- Put the data in the sheet - but only after changing the data into the format I told it to
- Moved on to the next name
It took 2-4 min per name. There were 17 names. This takes a human less time, but not half as much.
The big issue is that it times out after a few names. And essentially breaks.
You might be thinking, "You could do this with Claude code. You don't want to use Cowork for this."
I can't because you have to log into the site with the data - you can't scrape it. But Claude, after doing four of these said, "This is really time consuming - why don't we try to do this in Claude code."
Today it's too slow to have it do the 1200 hours of work I'll need done this year - I'll have to outsource that - but no doubt in a few months it'll do it faster.
I listened to a podcast with the developer at Claude who built Cowork - which they did in 10 days with Claude Code - and he said that while it's slow and clunky it's better than Claude Code was when it was released.
I hope it doesn't get too fast too quickly as I'd like to have a moat in the new business with a data set my competitors don't have. But 12 months from now they'll have it.
Not only does 2026 feel like a race, it clearly is a race.

Busiest work period of the year is done. I hosted a conference for 200 people and it ended yesterday. Great energy in the room and great speakers. But I’ll be taking 2027 off as the opportunity cost is high and it’s a lot of financial risk to put on the event.

I like PPQai to see what it comes up with, but I agree with you fully - it’s Claude and ChatGPT aren’t anywhe near the real ones. But I do like Perplexity.

Today is always one of the most challenging work days of the year.
I host a conference for 200+ people this weekend. We arrive on site tomorrow and even though it’s more work, you start to see the attendees and it’s exciting. Today is just work and some anxiety about the event.
A good friend just sent this text:
“I know that you will navigate the day with a relentless positivity despite any and all last-minute challenges sir.”
Feeling very blessed to have friends like him. And I can’t wait to see him in 36 hours.
