A racist techbro gets a million dollars each from some of his techbros for his grifter idea.
It may not surprise you to learn, that once you start looking into the first company on the list, you will already find worker's rights violations and ties to think tanks spreading disinformation and xenophobia.
To #omarchy users: I hope you're understanding what you are supporting.
The names, actions and monetary support frankly speak for themselves.
It's nothing I will ever support in #ArchLinux.

you're way ahead. I wrote none (on my website) since 2023 😅
But I wrote one in 2025 and three in 2026 for the Arch Linux devblog.

Together with @npub1ugf…hya8 @npub1yen…52qm, @npub1kqd…7640 and @npub1wqp…89jn I have been working on the #ALPM and #VOA projects in 2024 and 2025.
This #SovereignTechFund ( @npub1yng…nhrk ) funded work has recently come to a close.
You can read all about what was achieved and plans for future work on the #ArchLinux #devblog: https://devblog.archlinux.page/2026/a-year-of-work-on-the-alpm-project/

right!
Cory Doctorow a while back was elaborating on his approach to optimism/pessimism vs. hope which is somewhat similar.
What stuck with me there was that he considered both optimism/pessimism as two sides of the same coin of not engaging with the actual future/idea.
I like hope as replacement 😅

Yesterday we released another set of updates for the #ALPM crates. 🦀
This also includes additional and updated specifications 📜
The alpm-types crate in version 0.7.0 now has better handling for different types of versions. 📚
This comes in handy in file formats and environments where version handling should be more strict/specific.

I know all the tools (I package them for Arch Linux). 😊
I unfortunately can't use them yet due to some few blockers (our package tooling and my mail client and password management is heavily dependent on gpg sadly). 🥹

technically, you are now no longer relying on gpg for signatures but still use #OpenPGP.
Congrats on freeing yourself from it 🥳
