This is the price of gas at Costco in Honolulu, currently… I think we are always higher than the majority of the continental U.S. and the neighbor islands have an even higher cost.

#jobUpdate Almost right before Thanksgiving, I got an initial offer on the job I applied for this summer. I negotiated, and finally submitted my acceptance yesterday. I had to ask my union how to invoke my return rights, and am navigating this process with campus HR, the administration, and will have to file another request for tenure transfer review at my new campus. My first day will be Dec. 29th.

I’m helping plan a staff party happening on Wednesday. I’ve worked at my current library since 2020, and we have never had a party for staff and student assistants. Myself and two of the junior faculty decided to take on organizing one. Looking forward to the event and hoping the staff and students have a good time. It was a bit too hot, so we didn’t stay long, but we did ride the SkyLine, which was a first for my sister and friend. A second for my niece and I. I was still happy we went but maybe next time would go later to see the dances and events.

#Watson on CBS/Paramount+, started out terribly, but I had to watch it for Morris Chestnut. Over time, I felt the show got better and found its own groove. Chestnut as Dr. Watson does not disappoint. It’s no masterpiece, but it held my attention at times because of how absurd it could be. #TV People compare it to Sherlock Holmes and House, but I started to see it as an abstracted take doing its own thing, and that helped me to like it better. It got renewed for a S2. #tvReviews
