OpenAI does my head in with how blatantly obvious they are with their true motives. ChatGPT and all derivatives are off my devices for good, however, I will run their models locally though.

deepseek does not comply with data sovereignty laws, and/or data processing transparency.
I'm not aware of it running locally without internet, if it can, that's great.

deepseek is ChatGPT from Temu, some parts work great, the other parts barely function, and over all it was just to collect your data.
If you have a semi decent PC, load backyard.ai and the LLM of your choosing from huggingface and you'll have an infinitely better experience than ChatGPT or Deepseek.
I'll make a main post soon about the benefits and how to of running your own local AI
