100% accurate. We have fertile soil for fascism. Too many of us Americans are blind due to American exceptionalism, thinking that we're special.
TLDR: We're not. We've been indoctrinated by our school system into only seeing positive things we've done and have treated all the bad things (stealing land, slavery, genocide, etc.) as aberrations.
The irony, is that this mentality of 'exceptionalism' is probably true of every country.

If we want to start pointing fingers for the disastrous state we’re in, we can start with Dems who stayed home, white people who couldn’t bring themselves to vote for a qualified black woman, and Biden who didn’t know what time it was.
At the time, I resented the gaslighting of Team Biden, but focused on getting behind a winning candidate. But if Team Biden wants to try and airbrush their culpability in our current situation and turn Biden’s legacy to shit, then have at it.

Yes, their gaslighting is dwarfed a hundred-fold by a the candidate who defeated Biden, but it does not make it any less infuriating.
If they want to go back and revisit Biden’s failure, we then we can go back to the failure of Team Biden to tell him he had done an amazing job in rescuing the country from the brink of disaster, it was time to step down for some newer blood.
Instead, he surrounded himself with sycophants who failed to tell him he’d lost a step and should not run again.

Why isn't Biden preemptively pardoning anyone on the First Felon's hit list or just unilaterally releasing Jack Smith's Mar-a-Lago report?
He ran his campaign on the premise of the First Felon being a threat to democracy and is now acting like this is a normal transition.

We're going to see a lot of stories about people who voted for the orange shit having it come back to bite them.
These stories gain traction due to Schadenfreude, irony, and being clickbait for corporate media.
As much as it might give readers a sense of vindication, it still ends up with someone being unjustly punished.
Many are from marginalized folks and it strikes me as punching down.
Not engaging with these stories, and resisting the urge to feel smug is part of being the Resistance.

I'm going to say it - Vice-President Kamala Harris has thus far run a near perfect campaign. She has put together a great team and has a great ground game (us!).

While I appreciate the intent of these articles, I think that continuing the 'oldest candidate to run for president' theme is the same ageism that Biden faced from the media.
It's not the age of the person, it's the quality of thinking, the ideas they're promoting, that the press should be covering.
Is it valid to talk about incoherency? Yes, but don't forget all the horrid racism, bigotry, misogyny, and misanthropy trump lives and breathes.
