well, Morrowind had the best game engine of any Elder Scrolls game. I remember the first time I booted up Oblivion I was devestated that I couldnt fly and there was no system to custom build your own spells.

I made this rap album in, like, 2012. It was not perfect. It was not even very good. I saw it as a concept album about revolution. I wrote songs about Oliver Cromwell and Lenin and Napoleon.
But also, I wrote this song about how it is important to read books called Reading Rainbow and in an album full of me going "make the beat faster, I think I am Twista" it was the laid back catch your breath sort of song.
Anyways, so my friend who produced the album sent me a version they made with #AI and it broke my heart.

I went through a phase where I would hatefuck zionists and it was my kink. Back in 2010 you could ask someone about Israel and they would just immediately show you their whole asshole and you would argue and then get into some passionate thing that neither of you would admit to.
I find that not only does the argument of "I thought they would have stopped debating me by now if they didnt want to fuck" fall flat but also the whole idea of debating a zionist is off the table.

i think that the show actually does a good reading order for the short stories. Reading Strange Dogs before Persepolis Rising makes a lot of sense and stuff like inventing the Epstein Drive that everyone uses all the time are easy to lose interest in if you wait until the end of the series.
Memories Legion is a really good book but the main appeal for me was how they talked about tying the short stories into the show and conversations they had with the cast. I feel like you are coming to this fresh. If you watched the tv show then read them by publication date. If you didnt then read Strange Dogs before Persepolis Rising.

But even early american futurists, before all the negative depictions of the robot uprising, were pretty open about it, walking around in the 1920s talking openly about once we get robots we can have slavery again but ethical.

yeah, I feel like theres a profound misunderstanding about what "divide and conquer" means here and, the thing about it is that I have seen this argument before on this topic.
Divide and Conquer is about making your enemies argue with each other, not about literal protest logistics. Usually I find people arguing against decentralized protests with this tact its someone with main character syndrome demanding that we go to their one big protest and behave according to their protocols.
If you throw Mao's "let a hundred flowers bloom" at them you can get a nifty temper tantrum out of them usually.

I don't know what she did since her contribution to ace discourse but, the thing I find most frustrating about harry potter nostalgia is that I do not share it at all and when people complain about being nostalgic for those books I always wonder... is that normal?
Like, I am well aware that I was always a heavy reader and burning through books or deeply analyzing books and so even though I was 12 when the first one came out I was well past YA fiction by then, I had already finished the Xanth series and I had already realized that actually Piers Anthony might be a creep and burned any nostalia for that.
I liked Redwall and any Lois Lowrey book way more than I liked those books back then but I do not have a Mattimeo tatoo. I just... I know she is bad and evil but I just cant figure out why anyone cares. I just end up thinking that Harry Potter adults are trying to normalize caring about her shitty opinions and I dont know why. So, I didnt make it very far into the Draka series. The second book was very triggering for me. Its an SM Stirling series about Boer South Africa conquering the world and the first book Marching Through Georgia is about them joining World War 2 on the side of the Allies because they thought that the death camps were a waste of perfectly good slaves.
And anyways, I was talking to a friend about it once and how much the second book upset me and she said something about how some people wanted history to go that way.
And... that was not Stirlings point. He knew about how many white supremacists were in the scene. He made a "Racist South African White People Explain Their Fucked Up Ideology Until You Puke" series because of that. But the problem wasnt that he made it utopian.
The problem was that he threw it in my face. It always came back to a "wouldnt it be tragic if some european colony went rogue, genocided a continent and did slavery and then won world war 2?" In such a pointed way that everything the Draka did was just an accusation. SM Stirling didnt want history to go that way, he in fact seemed pretty upset that history DID go that way and was hysterically trying to point it out.
And, like, its heavy handed. I never really liked his writing style. I dont recommend any of his books and I have tried to read many.
But, with #Musk #uspol bullshit, you know, I get the feeling that "History did go that way." In a deep sense that keeps bringing me back to the stupid Draka #books #amReading @npub1ny7…uv57

Does anybody have a favorote #union zine or pamphlet? I am looking for #solidarity union propaganda to pass off on some people. Assume that I have a bunch of #IWW stuff, but my focus is this.
There is a long night to union #organizing when it must be done in the dark. And sometimes that takes months, I have been involved in campaigns where it took years. Where the infrastructure all had to be in place before management knew. That night is dark and full of terrors, but, when I am scared at night I always liked to read. In the long scary nights of #labor organizing what are your go to texts?
