Perhaps people are voting against incumbents rather than supporting the far right.

"Small modular reactors remain 1-2 decades away from wide deployment"
Also, in Finland the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power plant drove power prices up for a decade because their grid planners expected it online in 2010 but it wasn't live until 2023 & Finland was short of power for a decade as a result.
The Turnbull Snowy Hydro had a similar effect of delaying electricity storage in Australia for 5+ years until solar power boomed and batteries became a very compelling investment.

"We are asking" I think means they cannot legally require it.

I'm not happy the British are opening an oil field off the Falklands Islands. Haven't they heard of global warming?

The spot price for electricity in Victoria has been -4c/kwh from 10am to 1pm today with the grid 85%+ renewables
Windy, sunny, mild weather (& perhaps school holidays reducing demand) but lots of batteries using cheap power.

I saw Project Hail Mary on the Imax in Melbourne. It was pretty good. A good use of Imax.
For a change, having read the book fairly recently didn't harm my enjoyment of the movie.

The Russian Orthodox Church is an arm of the state, encouraging traditional values of invading neighbouring countries & dying for your government. "extremely high" divorce rates show Russia is not a family values paradise. Good to hear of caring communities, but Russia also brutally suppresses dissent.

"Didn’t they get a pay rise not so long ago? A pay rise, who is paying for that?"
Early childhood workers got a pay rise last year, because the Fair Work Commission said they were under payed for their qualifications & effort because they're mostly women. The announcement was continuation of the funding for that pay, avoiding a major pay cut for early childhood workers.
Hanson is incompetent & anti women. She also didn't try to teach & care for 26 3yo's with one other adult in the room.
It takes extra skills & knowledge to effectively care for a dozen of other people's kids & help them develop in maturity.
My olsest daughter is a degree qualified kindergarten long daycare teacher.

tldr: Tobacco, alcohol, human papillomavirus cause neck & throat cancers & the HPV ("cervical cancer") vaccine really protects against them.
Gay men should get the HPV vaccine as young as possible. In Australia it's standard for all high school boys & girls & has already drastically cut cervical cancer rates. It also protects against penile & anal cancers - HPV damages cells' DNA.

After surgery they should pin the call button to the blanket near you. After my prostate cancer surgery a decade ago, mine fell out of reach twice before they pinned it.
