I am not an elected official who got elected by promising to fight Donald Trump's viscious, unprecedented attacks on minorities. I am, however, disabled, so, a target of this administration.

That's, frankly, all the more reason they need to stand in the way. The second we knuckle under to the fear, these fascists will roll right over us. Sometimes being a good ally means taking the bullet for someone less privileged. If the spineless "resistance" in congress doesn't understand their assignment, now is not their time and they should exit with grace.

Hey @npub1e9x…msz2, I am trying to use bridgyfed to sync my posts between blueskty and fedi, it seems to be working on bluesky's end but the bot is not receiving new posts from me, only when I interact directly with bridged accounts. Do you have any ideas as to why this might be?

To be fair, a 5G Android 15 phone with a headphone jack, 5000MA battery and a memory card reader is basically on parr with a Samsung/Pixel A line phone, which is not terrible. No word on the SOC though. I don't know who would get the cell service, unless you just want to give money to Trump's kids for whatever reason. Mint, for example, seems to be much cheaper. (I should probably switch, BTW, I am on fi right now which is fine but $10/month saved is $10/month earned etc)

No worries, 'tis the nature of technology. I don't have follow requests on, so it should just happen? I haven't seen a notification that the bot followed me, even after I tried following and unfollowing it from my fedi account.
My instance uses akkoma on the backend I believe, if that makes a difference.

My bluesky handle is connected and I see the bridging checkbox is enabled, but my mastodon account just shows my profile picture and nothing else. I have a profile page on https://fed.brid.gy/ap/@npub1vkm…xru7 and it shows reposts from bridged bluesky accounts and my replies to them, but not new posts. Am I doing something wrong or not understanding how this works?

This is default behaviour you can change, right? Can you exclude them (and other apps) from the snapshots? I imagine it hoovers up an incredible amount of sensitive stuff by default. Probably not something most people are aware of when they buy their new Del!

It seems like they are putting them on paid leave rather than firing them, I assume because they can't defund it without congress? If I'm right about that it's not hard to imagine a world where they can't pass a budget so everything gets funded at currewnt levels. So they end up getting paid to do nothing, the ultimate sin of DEI.
We probably won't get that "lucky,."

Bluesky has a feed of articles that have been gifted so that people can easily find them. I think this is an awesome way to build a community-curated news feed. Do we also have something like that? Seems pretty simple to use a hashtag, for instance, that you could filter into a list.
