And now I have to think about scams. Because what is "claiming so much more productivity, so we must reduce it" not a scam?
There are devices out there that are advertised with 40% less full burn for your car. And the car manufacturers don't want you to know about. Sorry, but this would be the wholly grail. Every car manufacturer would pay a small fortune for such an advantage over the competition. (In the end it's an empty box with some blinking LED.)

But why would you not use those 20% to invent new stuff?

You start a renew cycle at 1/3 remaining lifetime.
Also on isolated systems you don’t need WebPKI certs.

The Brodcom site does not list vulnerable version, but only fixed ones. 6.x is not general supported, so not fixed. It however does not tell anything about not vulnerable.

This might be because 6.5 and 6.7 are not longer general supported.

You can move email independent of the accounts. If the service providers work correctly, you can even rename accounts and it will still work.

I was talking about the Defender stuff itself. How can it get an unlock signal, if it can't communicate with the outside?

2024-12-30 21:29:22 UTC

- reply

How can you ever unlock this device? Nothing can communicate, so nothing can get the unlock trigger. Or is the lockdown stuff itself leaky?

I mandates that you provide the source not only to the people that got binaries from you, but also to people who interact with it remotely.
So a link to the repo with your modified source.

Yes. And they started hard to enforce hygiene, after larger parts of the volunteer kitchen staff came done with Noro.
But I find it interesting that you bring up lasers, which in many countries have severe usage restrictions, and soldering, which releases toxic fumes.
