I saw something like this at my local credit union. The lady in front of me was trying to withdraw like $1k. And she was giving this big, long explanation for why she needed to pay for part of her rent in cash.
I was shocked that it was any of their business why she was withdrawing the money. So I asked the teller and he said that they are trying to protect customers.
Screw that! If it's my money and I want to use it as fire starter, that's my business. Give me my money!

I suspect that most people who are pronounced dead are due to no heartbeat. But there are lots of stories about people leaving their body and observing something that is happening outside of the room or building that they are in and then recounting the events when they come back into their body.

I forgot about the bells on coffins! I've read so many near death experience stories and there are a lot like this kid. One of the ones that comes to mind is of a guy who died and when they called his parents and told them to come to the hospital, his mom got a message that she should go around back into an alternate entrance. So she goes in the back entrance and takes a right, and here are all of the dead people. She walks right up to one of them, pulls back the sheet and it's her son. She asks him to come back so she can take him home. A few seconds later he starts breathing, sits up and walks right out the door!
I always wondered if they got a hospital bill?

I had the best anniversary date night with my wife.
The Hyatt in Bellevue (large suburb if Seattle, known for its retail stores) has a romance package. You get a room for slightly more than regular price, a bottle of wine and $100 gift card for the local shops and restaurants.
So we check in on Saturday afternoon, drank the sparking wine, had a little cannabis and just enjoyed each other's company. Because I'm a bone head, I forgot to make a reservation at the steak house we like so we got dressed for dinner and decided to find a spot in the very full bar.
The bar has a live piano man, who makes it a lot of fun and periodically a other guest will do a sing along.
So we get to the crowded bar at the exact moment the busses finishes the only available table in the bar. It was meant to be!
We enjoyed the fun atmosphere, and had a fabulous conversation (we always have great conversations, even after 19 years of marriage). Then went for a short walk, had a little more cannabis and headed back to the room. My keeper has been getting up early to play the market so we've been hitting the sack early.
Then the next morning was breakfast in bed and a late checkout. We just hung out and watched a couple of Friends episodes.
My wife is amazing and I am truly blessed to be with the love of my life.
I pray that many of you will be so lucky as to take up activities that get you out and meeting new people to find such a blessed life. If you are reading this, know that I've already asked for the creator to open up opportunities for you ti say yes to.

I was in Seattle about a year ago and they've gotten rid of waitstaff at most restaurants. Just use your phone to get the menu, place your order (and tip, of course). Then some lady who barely speaks English dropped off our food.
It was such a bad experience, I won't be going back. I can go to Bellevue (a very nice suburb) and have a great experience, and there aren't people doing drugs on the street.
Screw these restaurants who have kiosks and no human interactions

Canada is the worst when it comes to the trans nonsense. They made all of the public bathrooms in government buildings unisex. But they didn't remove the urinals.
I didn't know that this had happened and abfew years ago I was in Vancouver (3 or 4 hours from my house) and asked someone at the info desk in a government building (it was like a rec center) where the men's bathroom was. The lady kind of stuttered and pointed across the room.
So I'm standing at the urinal, doing my thing and some woman walks in, totally embarrassed and apologizes but told me that's where the lady sent her. And then explained that they de-gendered the bathrooms.
I thought it was hilarious, but I felt so bad for that lady!!!

well, it's not the experimental MRNA shots they got. So we can cross that one off as the root cause. And it probably isn't the ultra processed food and chemicals that caused them to be obese in the first place. So it must be the weight loss drugs!
I am genuinely concerned about my friends who are on GLP-1s. They aren't making lifestyle changes and just the other day I saw a study that showed even with lifestyle changes, the chances of gaining the weight back was at like 90%!

that is a heck of a post.
I think that the majority of people agree that we don't care if an adult wants to change their body, but hands off the kids.
One of my neighbor's daughter is in college and wants to go on male hormones, so it is indeed not dead. And laws are in place to prevent therapists from questioning patients. They must affirm! It's really disturbing and I don't see a way to get those laws changed.

I was in Spain and Greece last summer and had a great time! I'd move to Greece if I thought it would be stable long term, but that's still debatable. Crete would be my preferred location, mainly because they remind me of Americans.

it seems like the "leave me the fuck alone" crowd is growing. Covid pushed a bunch of normies (like me) from the suburbs out into more rural areas. I was perfectly happy in the suburbs pre-covid.
Now I live in a smallish town, wear flannel shirts and shoot a compound bow for fun. I'm a totally different guy than I was just a few years ago. I'm seeing a big trend of people trying to figure out how to get out into the country and just want to be left alone.

I'm in liberal western WA state and have 2 daughters in high school. Both were caught up in the social contagion a few years ago. Now they are beautiful young women. One is anti establishment, "the government is messed up" and the other is a super sweet, church going conservative.
They tell me that it's almost entirely dead. And furry influence is going along with it.
I can't help but wonder if it's because of the defunding of USAID?

I think where they screwed up is to tell members to clean before and after. That doesn't make sense. Why would YOU need to clean before if it was just cleaned? That sounds like covid logic. And when you tell someone to do something illogical, they will inherently want to push back against it.
I normally workout with a towel that I put down on the seat or back before I use the equipment. But I also don't care if I get other people's sweat on me. I train in ju jitsu so I'm wrestling with other sweaty people a few times a week. And guess how often I get sick? Almost never! I think that it's an immunity super charger!

were they free drinks? I can't imagine why someone would drink that many. I think I had 21 drinks on my 21st birthday but it was a lot of beer and puking. We just did that to each other. We'd get the birthday boy good and hammered and give him one full pitcher and one empty pitcher.
It was sort of a life lesson in over drinking. And we found that when you stick to beer, it's hard to toxify because you get so full.
This was at Wazzu, of course.

that's a pretty cool fact about leaving a porch light on so your town would appear modern.
My great grandpa died at age 100 in 1998 and told me a story about learning who won the presidency when he was a kid. From what I remember, they used to light a lantern on some high point in town to indicate who was in the lead or who won. Then the next town over would like the same color lantern, and so on until word got around.
