This is good news for people in the EU:
@npub125m…6whu will have to identify, assess, and mitigate systemic risks, provide data access, and be subject to independent audits, transparency reporting obligations, and more scrutiny. The outcome will depend on the dedication to enforce it.

Chat Control 1.0 is extended. Via undemocratic procedural tricks plotted by the @npub1ksr…qktz, the national government, and most probably also the @npub1m96…ag4y. The question is: What’s next?
Not only in terms of data protection but in terms of how do we defend democracy. And if you want to say *xit, then you can easily spare us this answer, especially given that this was national governments’ agenda in the first place.

Today’s vote in the European Parliament is not just about mass surveillance. It’s also about collapsing democracy.
There’s nothing democratic on the principle to repeat the vote until you get the result that the @npub1ksr…qktz and the national governments want. Vote it down!

The @npub1ksr…qktz and the national governments want this mass surveillance enabling bill so much that they don’t even mind undermining people’s trust in democratic policymaking in Europe, which is an inevitable outcome of this move. Champagne is popping in the far right’s offices.

In 2021, I’ve tabled amendments to the @npub1m96…ag4y’s proposal of the Digital Markets Act, one of which introduced mandatory messaging interoperability for the gatekeepers. Now, more than 4 years later, real effects on the market are starting to appear. https://about.fb.com/news/2025/11/messaging-interoperability-whatsapp-enables-third-party-chats-for-users-in-europe/

Reality check: Je tu někdo, kdo ani nestudoval informatiku, ani nepracuje v IT a současně rozumí tomu, jak funguje Bitcoin?
