It seems that the professional edition of ShareWay IP can act as a gateway for IP clients to AppleTalk servers.

A question regarding #GlobalTalk and MacOS X #Tiger: Is it possible to make Tiger (10.4.11) compatible with AFP via AppleTalk shares?
I thought that it would work, but I guess my own netatalk just used AFP over IP.
Now I tried mounting a GlobalTalk share from my new 12-inch PowerBook G4 and got a message saying that it doesn't work...
Is there anything that can be configured here to make it work (well, besides using 10.3)?

I wanted to use inn in between so that FC does not directly connect to the Internet.
And I get my Usenet feed via UUCP, as I don't have a fixed IP address - and that way no port has to be opened :-)

Yes, I'm using the FC NNTP support. inn is feeding the newsgroups to FC and gets messages from the FC conferences.

Hallo #GlobalTalk users! Is anyone interested in using a #FirstClass system via GlobalTalk? I'm hosting a FirstClass 5.5 system in my zone BabCom which can be used via AppleTalk (the server is running on qemu).
I have a 10 user license, so ~8 GlobalTalk users are possible. If anyone has more licenses, I can add them :)
The FC system can also send and receive Internet E-Mails, so mails via GlobalTalk would be possible :)
That could be a nice addition for the upcoming #MARCHintosh
