clinical psychology is such a meme
like have you read some of these papers? a lot of the time they can't even agree on what a term means to begin with (my favorite example: depressive anxiety. there's like 3 different definitions ranging from "this doesn't belong in a serious diagnostic manual" to "this has an 80% fatality rate")
and even when this isn't the case its extremely difficult to prove or disprove anything because to conduct a study with any real weight you need /so much/ funding
