Like Ma'am, we are going to agree on pretty much everything on what outcomes we want. What pisses me off is that you choose a method that is guaranteed not to improve any of those things.

24% of Fox viewers think that the tariffs will either result in lower prices in the grocery store, or no difference.
While many of those still have some vague notion that the foreign producer pays the tariff, others think the grocery store will eat the tariff.
I am just here to remind everyone that on average, grocery stores make a 1.6% margin on what they sell, and sure as shit don't have the ability to eat a 10-40% additional cost.

Yes, both of those.
What buzzes around my head is the thought that a huge chunk of these people are *deliberately* and *intentionally* ignorant, and, in fact, proudly signal their ignorance. So, even though there are clearly barriers and pitfalls in getting the right information, and malign actors spread disinformation, a lot of people aren't trying to get better information or tools, and really like being in a state of satisfying ignorance.
