Haven starts works fine for 10 min or so then stops responding to notes and blasting though I do get ‘new note in your inbox’ when replying to a comment, but nothing else.

Haven is leaking file descriptors. It opened 8 more FDs but only lost 5 connections, meaning resources aren't being freed properly.
This is likely a goroutine leak in haven—when it processes publishes, goroutines spawn but don't exit cleanly. Over time, FDs hit the ulimit and it crashes.
Your options:
1. Use the watchdog script I provided earlier to auto-restart haven every ~10 min before it hangs
2. Increase the ulimit for haven (might delay the issue):
sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/haven.service
2. Add under [Service]:
LimitNOFILE=4096
2. Then restart
3. Report this to haven developers as a goroutine/FD leak after N publishes
For now, the watchdog is the practical solution. Want me to help you set that up properly?

I started with it on a 10 yr old iMac running Linux (actually worked pretty well) but decided to move it to VPS for reliability and access (and to see if I could get it working). My Tailnet has an Umbrel server with a node I wouldn’t want it messing with. Theoretically it wouldn’t…unless it somehow went rogue?

I’m running NanoClaw on a VPS, and once I got a basic setup running and Nostr integration I had it do a security check. Found some pretty rookie mistakes on my end and we tightened things up. I had already turned ssh password auth off (just use key pair) but it had me install something that prevents the mass port scanning (forget wha it’s called).

I find I get what I need with YakiHonne. Notes, encrypted messages, notifications, multiple accounts, lightning wallet. And I like the design albeit a few quirks. You probably do more stuff though.

A couple the things happened before. When I was paying with Alby extension and wasn’t sure if it went through a QR code came up. I cancelled that bc I saw the Alby payment went through on Alby Go. I have four accounts that use my personal #haven relay. Three can send notes and they are blasted to relays in the blastr file. The fourth is an agent, and it’s notes reach the relay, but the log shows every relay in the blastr file times out. However, it appears the note actually gets to those relays. Any ideas ? #asknostr

I use Claude Console, pay as I go. My thought is set up will cost the most, but day to day should be relatively light (I don’t use it for anything else). Of course, is set up really ever done? I’ve read you can use OpenClaw with openrouter.ai which gives access to lots of models but don’t think NanoClaw can do that.
