These terms are almost entirely what the average American wants from their own government, minus recognizing Iran's nuclear program.

This war was not planned by Trump or the US military at all.
This is exactly how it went down:
Netanyahu and Israeli intelligence approached Trump one morning and told him that Khamenei and all of his senior advisors were all in one place at the same time and that they could effectively eliminate 95% of Iran's government in one fell swoop. They sold to him that all he had to do was clear the way and take out Iran's defenses and Israel would do the rest. Trump would be helping Israel establish themselves in the middle east as never living at the point of a rifle ever again and would be fulfilling God's plan to usher in the second coming. They promised him the war would last no longer than 2 weeks because Iran would be begging for a cease fire. "All you have to do is destroy their ability to fight and the people will rise up and do the rest for you. You won't even have to commit a single soldier on the ground" they told him. "Imagine the hero you would be to Christian Americans if you single handedly 'saved their chosenites' and 'did the bidding of their savior'?" Trump thought to himself "oh my God I would be the greatest president who ever lived".
Trump went to the military and asked them how much time they thought it would take to strike Iran. They gave him a window of probably '2 weeks' so he told them to do it. When asked how long the war would last, the generals would have told him exactly the same thing that the Japanese admirals told Tojo, "we can raise hell with the Iranians for one month, then after that there are no guarantees". Trump knew the Israeli's predicted the war would be over in [2 weeks] so that was a non-issue.
Into the war (((2 weeks))) the Israelis and US had no idea that leveling the Iranian government effectively meant nothing because the people aren't taking the bait. They hate their government but they hate the West more. Now Israel and Trump have no idea what to do as jews are getting pummeled in a war Iran has been drooling over for years.
Trump is an absolute gullible goybot and deserves his precous Nobfell-For-It-Again Prize.
