well the azure deployment works but its limited to azure (its not live anymore since it was just a poc that was burning a hole in my pocket)
i'm working on replicating the entire stack on infrastructure that anyone can deploy (provided they have supported hardware) and making it easier to deploy other workloads as well, but its a slow process :)

There is a second best in the land of the inference. Obviously owning enough gpu compute to run the models you want is the best option out there. But in case you want an alternative - confidential inference is the way to go.
Contrary to "private" ai providers that promise you theres no tracking or just separate your billing method from the prompts you send confidential inference providers enable you to verify the software they run so you can provably know that your data remains confidential and noone is leaking it out in debug logs or even worse storing it on purpose.
Thats why I built this website - theres more and more providers out there and prices vary A LOT so having a place where all of them are in one place is very beneficial when you decide to use a confidential inference provider for your next project

@nprofile…nlnd can you shine some light on those choices, i'm guessing you've looked at reticulum while designing this? is the cryptography decision heavily influenced by the fact that you wanted it to be nostr compatible or are there other considerations?
what would you say are the pros of fips (name is really unfortunate given the fact that fips is already used in cryptography ecosystem) over reticulum, besides the more clear architectural design of the protocol given more clear layer separation

While I agree with the sentiment of not putting your keys into every vibecoded app out there the fact that code was written by AI instead of a hungover dev, who actually is only a dev because his rock band dream fell apart and he stumbled into a one week bootcamp and now calls himself a full stack dev, is at this point in time maybe more of a sign that is on average better not worse
I'm talking about apps that were engineered with the help of agentic tools, not random shit that was one shot prompted by a drunk influencer obviously.

Oh its a godsend, i have multiple refurbished workstation laptops with 64-128gb of ram, lots of storage and gpus as portable compute capacity that i can move around, they are mostly clean of sensitive information and just used for running test vms, vibe sessions etc.
One cannot have too much compute at hand

i'm experimenting with my own openclaw fork https://github.com/aljazceru/secretclaw , the idea is that it will support only confidential inference providers and marmot (and possibly signal) as chat interfaces, so no leakage of information through inference or communication channels, its still in broken state of refactoring and taking things i dont need away but i'm going for a more fuller integration as an extension for openclaw, not a cli tool
still need to figure out some details, i'll leave tui and local web as alternative channels, the rest i'm throwing away

@nprofile…ueh9 its not really true that blockchain analytics doesn't work, specially since a lot of markets get hacked/seized at some point then everything gets untangled
i've spent a decent amount of time studying past market implementations and they all fundamentally get fucked because of one thing - the marketplaces can charge money. because that means its sufficiently centralized so that a failure point exists. with nostr you could work around that and have imperfect view of the world (market offers) at any given time but have a much bigger redundancy . obviously it brings all the chaos with it because you lose some of the tools that centralization gives you, but you could mitigate some of that with reputation and escrow services. Which is generally the way for the founders of the marketplace to initially make money, they will be the first to offer services in the marketplace so they will have some time to bring in more revenues before competition appears
lightning is not very popular with merchants from what i've seen (even non darknet but somewhat shady we accept bitcoin only places) because the need of running a server and generally bad receiver privacy (no need to turn this into a discussion of trampoline routing and blinded paths)
as a side note I think the more important part of private markets is that they exist, the preferred payment method is far less relevant than everything else about the market structure and services. providers of services and goods can decide what payment method they prefer and if there is enough demand for it then good for them. I'm sure if there was a long line of clients banging on their doors that they will only buy things for bitcoin they choice of payment wouldn't be a problem.
