The #US imposes 30% of #UStariffs to the #EuropeanUnion. According to Politico, the Commission is ready to retaliate. EU OS believes that a European response with Tariffs on US BigTech services (or all services that face trade deficits) would make so much more sense if the EU had alternatives for those in place. This way, organisations can do tests with only few of their staff (e.g. developers/engineers) while keeping everything as is for e.g. HR/business-critical functions. While people work, bootc downloads and installs unnoticeable to the user the update. After the next computer restart (trigged by the user), EU OS switches to the new version. Who doesn't know the situation: Quickly leaving office to catch a train or join some dinner or sport class, but then the laptop cannot be powered off due to a #Windows update.
The software alternative https://eu-os.eu installs updates invisible in the background. After a reboot, the users have a freshly updated system without any waiting time! In many ways, #Linux is more advanced than #Windows!
