I do suspect we will drop into the 50s. If we do all the bears will come out predicting 40k , 30k, or even lower. I cants see us going any lower than the 50s.
It wont make any difference to long term hodlers, ride it all the way up down, left and right. 💯

Thats very concerning, a ban on stable coin self custody, if this goes through then bitcoin self custody will be next. They dont want people to control their own money.
How this would be enforced I dont know.

I think Bitcoin to $1million is a sealed deal. You may want to check out growth of Stretch (strc) which is one of Strategies fixed income products that currently gives 11.5% interest / year (paid monthly). The growth of strc is insane and its only 8 months old!
So Strategy use the money from strc sales to buy bitcoin. Assuming no one else buys bitcoin, Strategy will keep selling their strc, which will give them the funding to keep buying bitcoin. We are in a bear market and they just bought 18k bitcoin this week!. Crazy man!!
So 2.5mill bitcoin available on exchanges, lets just assume no else buys, then Strategy will happily buy them all over the coming years. Bitcoin to $1million is a sealed deal. What happens to the price when there are no bitcoin left to buy? 🙈

Why would Black Rock have a limit of only allowing 5% of funds being allowed to withdraw. Because they have already spent the other 95% else where. Banks and tradfi are the biggest scam ever! Technically they are already bankrupt. This is the no.1 reason we are in bitcoin. We know what we hold. We can see it on the blockchain. The wool cant be pulled over our eyes.

Strategy is relentless. I read somewhere, that 99% of bitcoin buying is currently by strategy. Not sure on accuracy, but would not be surprised if it were true.
Not hitting $1mill by 2033 uses maths and models that assumes we dont get 10 Michael Saylors jumping on board. It assumes we dont get just 1 or 2 big countries buying bitcoin seriously in a reserve. It assumes that that corporate adoption is slow. Worst case scenario, Strategy would have bought well over 2.5million bitcoin by then. We only have 2.5million left on exchanges. In my opinion, the rainbow chart is very pretty with lots of pretty colours. Perfect for an infant in nursery to use as a colouring book. 🤣
I think we will be much higher. 🚀

I dont blame Larry Lepard, running out of patience. Good for him, putting his foot down, he made the right decision to exit. There is only so much crap a person can take. 🤦
Strategy is relentless. By the time the rest of the world catches on, there will be very little bitcoin left. Bitcoins fixed supply is something that just doesnt seem to compute in peoples heads. 🤷
Cool pie chart / graphics showing how distribution of bitcoin is changing hands from individuals to institutions. This explains why the price hasnt yet gone through the roof. So OG bitcoiners have decided to sell. I read somewhete around 7 or 800k bitcoin have been sold by OG bitcoiners in 2025. This selling pressure must be whats caused this crash / kept price suppressed this cycle.
I do think OGs are crazy to sell so much. But on the otherhand maybe its not so crazy, if 800k bitcoin sold by lets just say 80,000 individuals, selling 10 bitcoin per person, thats around $10million / individual, assuming they sold at a price of $100k / bitcoin. So $10mill cash to enjoy lifestyle is a nice reward for hodling over 15 years plus. And I bet these OG still have much more than 10 bitcoin in their stash. So thats fair play.
I suppose there is no point in living like buddhist monks, there is afterall enjoyment to be had in the physical world, so I think many of us would have done similar, had we discovered bitcoin so early. And $10million isnt that hard to spend these days. An expensive house in a nice area of the world could easily set you back a few mill, maybe even $5mill. And then running cost etc. Etc. So on second thoughts its probably closer to 40,000 OGs selling 20 bitcoin each.
Based on this, then maybe the price of bitcoin hitting 126k this cycle is fairly reasonable. I assumed OGs wouldnt sell. Had they not sold, then we would have hit far beyond 126k. I have been worried that the price of bitcoin has been suppressed / manipulated by the system / options / "paper bitcoin" like how they been supressing gold for over 10 years (untill recently). But having crunched some of the numbers, makes me think there is no major long term bitcoin manipulation happening.
Institutions have only just started getting warmed up. We only have around 200 btctc and no countries are really seriously buying as part of a SBR yet. So maybe this transfer of OG bitcoiners will continue up untill the OGs run out of bitcoin in significant numbers. I dont believe the OGs will sell below 60k, so maybe price dips into the 50's. Next round of bitcoin OG selling would be atleast 200k plus. Also how long will it take for these OG sellers from 2025 to spend their $10-$20mill cash? At which point they will need to sell more bitcoin to sustain lifestyle. If they are like lottery winners, then they will blow their cash pretty fast, but the fact they were even able to hodl so long suggests they are abit more savvy, Id say they are more sensible, maybe they diversifying in different countries.
Im tempted to say the OG selling will be what dictates how high we go in the next few cycles for the next 5 years. I always thought the OGs would never sell, so this is an incorrect assumption.
I reckon institution adoption will accelerate really fast, like 10x in a few years, btctc accelerate to 2,000 plus not 200, countries start taking BSR seriously. OGs sell majority of their bitcoin to institutions within next 5 years. We have 2 more bullruns within 5 years, the pie chart you showed, OG holding bitcoin shrinks to less than a quarter. So price is say $500k in less than 5 years.
After 5 years, within next 5 years after that the price goes into millions really quick. Institutions will hold and not sell. OGs it seems are the weaker hands after all.
I think all this is dictated by how quick institutions jump on board. I reckon this will be quick, next couple of years they come like an unstobable force. Price could be held back as OGs selling, so upto $500k. Eventually OGs run out. Bitcoin transfers to strongest hands, which will be institutions / countries etc. . And price goes flipping crazy, $ multi millions $ bitcoin price- 2031-2036.

I just wasnt built for uk weather, ever since i was a kid. Dark days in the winter are too gloomy. I think you right, we can adapt to almost any environment, the body can appear like a miracle some times. And true again, we do have tendency to see the grass greener on the other side, and never dealing with problems regardless where we live.
UK is extremely over rated, weather awful, everything really expensive. Whether i am or not just carrying my problems with me, Id rather deal with it in a nice pleasant sunny place, thats affordable, thats not so crazy woke.

Im amazed by such negative bitcoin sentiment. I know the price is crappy, but still. There are people talking about bitcoin being finished, its going to zero, its no longer a store of value, quantum risk, $5 wrench attacks etc. Etc.

Brazil SBR goal to buy 1million bitcoin in 5 years is more bullish news. 🚀
I did my own calculation a few weeks ago, if strategy continue to buy bitcoin then they will accumulate another 1.5mill bitcoin in 5 years. Thats assuming price stays the same and no one else buys. You can bet there will be more buyers! And you can bet price will be much higher!
So if brazil adds to this thats a total of 2.5mill bitcoin taken off the market. There are only 2.5mill bitcoin available on exchanges. So at this point there are no more bitcoin available to buy. This assumes no one else is buying bitcoin. You can bet there will be more buyers!

We are for sure, talking the same thing, most definitely. I ended up using the term 'human being' and the words in that order as upside down in the fiat world we live in. The fiat world us upside down and the kind of human the fiat world encourages us to be is so upside down.
The emphasis should be on "being" human and so 'being' should come first - "being" human. But the fiat world doesnt want us to emphasise this. The fiat world doesnt want us being it. So became the term so widely knows as 'human being'. The fiat world undermines "being" part of 'being human' therefore 'human being' is the preferred term, 'being' is less important, so comes second. Not sure if ive got this across very well
You replaced the word "being" with "doing" which I really liked too, so human doing instead of human being. That was nice. But I couldnt really incorporate "doing" into my thought when I was thinking about how the fiat world has turned our society so upside down. And it seemed to fit and it felt like the term human being has become upside down too. So when i was thinking about it, the fiat world has literally convinved us of reality being so upside down. The term 'human being' is therefore also upside down, so I prefer the words being switched the the right way round, - "being" human.
Hopefully you get what i mean... if not then im in a world if my own as usual. 😇
You talk about first principles alot. I agree with this approach and I try to apply this to my every day life. I am surprised by some of the revelations, many things we do, and take for granted and dont really question, Ive come to realise are not required, and unfortunately are a hinderance to our life. This applies everything from health, to the people we are around, and the things we have become dependent on.
In terms of health, an example could be, when I stopped putting any products on my skin, the improvement to my skin health and overall health has been significant. Less is more. Or I prefer to say do "nothing".
Its funny but practicing "nothing" has enabled me to become more human. We are constantly told to do this or that, behave a certain way, society pushes us to do things that dont always feel natural and the end result often make us less human. To make us look a certain way, or be a certain way, to fit in. In the end, we end up being detatched from experiencing the actual human experience. And we end up expereincing something else entirely which dont always create the best results, not always pleasant, and dont always make us feel great either.
As with money, where we are trying to opt out of fiat, to stop fueling a system which is so destructive, and into bitcoin which creates much more positive incentive structure, there are so many other facets non money related which we can also opt out of which we think is essential but when we disect with a first principled approach, we discover that we are better off doing "nothing".
"Nothing" is a very difficult approach. When we are faced with a problem, so often we think we have to solve it, we have to be the hero, we need to use our intellect, creating a solution. But often our actions are directly causing the problem and many more problems. Our attempt at solving an issue causes a bigger problem. And then we get stuck in a cycle of problem solving, to fix something that causes another problem and so on.
What makes things even more confusing is when we fix a problem, we feel relieved and happy, becayse the initial problem has been resolved, only for the problem to reform and change into something that isnt always apparent in its connection.
I think this is where some of the phrases come from "less is more", "simplest solution is the key". Etc. These phrases are true because they are closer to doing "nothing".
Its funny but the phrase, "I tried everything but nothing works" the emphasis should be on "nothing". Its like we know the answers, we tell ourselves, we are so close, and then we throw ourselves onto a tangent and then we end up not knowing.
Problem with "nothing" is it doesnt really contribute to the economy, doesnt make money, its hard to sell, hard to market, doesnt do much for our ego, but I tell you Daniella there is some serious truth to it. I live by it and always consider it as my number one strategy when faced with a problem. Most problems are solved by this. When I am unablr to literally do "nothing" then I think, how can I do the next best thing as close to nothing as possible.
If a solution is very convulted and complex, then I try to avoid it at all costs. I usually find a much simpler work around. And it works out better in the long term.

What does it mean to be a human being? Maybe we should start with "being" human!
Crazy, they inverted it the wrong way round, (intentionally no doubt!). We should never have become a human being, the fiat world taught us to become a human being. We were always meant to, "being" human. This cant be a coincidence, almost like they are saying, no no no, some how the fiat world convinced us that its now outlawed to "being" human. But we are taught that human being is what we need to strive for in this fiat world we live in. Its the civilised way to live, its the modern way to live, the elegant way to live, sophisticated, suave, all while pushing us further and further from "being" human. Purging us from "being" human. We been tricked, thinking the prize is becoming a human being. As usual the fiat world loves to take the piss out of us to our face, and we have naively fallen for it.
Society constantly pushes us away from "being" human. We are made to feel ashamed of "being" human. From day one we are pushed into covering up "being" human. From a young age, a perception is created and then re-enforced over and over, driven into us by the fiat world. And then we wonder why, there are so many negative things in society, all the fighting, the nastyness, treating each other with disrespect, fucking each other over. This is not human nature, its the result of not "being" human. Its the result of the fiat world pushing us into becoming a human being, rather than "being" human. Fiat plays an integral part in enabling this skewed - 1985 - reality from dominating. Why does our society go so much out of its way to stop us "being" human. Whats with that? Why is it that the fiat system we live in is so threatened by those that experience "being" human. Whats with that? Seems like alot of effort, energy and attention has been put into, by our fiat dominated society that stops us experiencing "being" human. Why does the fiat world not like like us experiencing "being" human? Maybe because a person "being" human, cant be controlled in this fiat world we live in. Hence why we are tricked into becoming a human beings instead. "Being" human is how its always meant to be. As opposed to the human being that the fiat world has locked us into.
Bitcoin enables us to unlock ourselves from the fiat world that is stopping us from "being" human. It breaks our obsession with the fiat existence of becoming a human being.
If deflation is the natural state of a free market, then bitcoin is the perfect measuring stick, to measure this deflation. Im excited to experience deflation. Im excited to experience "being" human.
Ive realised Ive been played by the fiat world. They tricked me into striving to become a human being, when all along the goal was always, "being" human.

Im weary of bitcoin backed loans because they are so new. So ive decided to sit it out for the moment to see which lenders are still around in a few years.
As long as your leaverage is a small % of your bitcoin then I dont think its too concerning. Eg. If you took a loan against 5% of your total bitcoin, then it would have to drop by 90% to get liquidated. Because you need to put up double the amount of loan. I think thats right 🤔.
So bitcoin would have to drop 90% before your bitcoin would be at risk. So it would have to drop to 7k. Seems like impossible...
On second thoughts, when the price was dropping from 80k+ to 60k, that would have been terrifying to experience if I had a loan. Because when it drops, it really feels like it will just keep going with no end in site. Maybe a loan of 1% of your total bitcoin would guarantee it.
The problem with lending against an asset such as bitcoin, yes true this is how the rich stay rich, but they are typically borrowing against an asset such as property that isnt so volatile like bitcoin and would hardly ever fluctuate by 50%.
I can see why many are staying away. Im not sure Id have the stomach for it during times of volatility
I also expected to be well above 150k by now. The min target I had in my head was 200k.
Lets see what happens...
Time will tell if we go into a full blown drawn out bear market or if we bounce back. 🤞

We can speculate what impact bitcoin will have on society. Its hard to see how things will practically turn out in real life. But its interesting thinking about it.
In science / evolution, there are times in history when humans evolve really fast. And it cant be explained by science or darwin theory of evolution. I think its when the environment changes drastically, humans and all living things adapt accordingly. Life has a remarkable ability to mould round its surroundings.
I see bitcoin as similar. Its changed the "environment" or the rules that govern our society. As a result humans will adapt, and our behaviour will change significantly really fast, something thats doesnt normally happen so quick. Alot of the negative things we see about our society, we often say its just human nature, is actually because of the rules that get pushed in our society. And then we are just responding accordingly.
I do think bitcoin will change things fundamentally. But getting rid of the money printer is key. If US dollar can hyperinflate in say 10 years plus, that gives bitcoin time to overtake gold. And then whatever replacement fiat is created after the US dollar crashes, the people inevitably reject it and select bitcoin. No fiat currency will dominate and bitcoin becomes recognised as a global dominant currency.
But I recognise that there will be forces stopping this kind of future. And cbdc is the goal. I think to myself who in their right mind will accept a cbdc. Poor, desperate people, combined with fear and it appears you can convince the masses of anything. Look at how they locked us down during covid. Nobody questioned it. I was the only one on the streets, breaking so called lockdown rules, driving, id see a cop car and instantly feel, will they pull me over. It was like Mad Max, and the cops were the crazy lawlessness on the streets imprisoning us. I visited friends, and neighbours grassed us up to the cops. I visited my aunty and she wouldnt let me passed the front doorway, we spoke in the front garden.
I do hope we learn from our past mistakes and wise up.
Its a great job you doing Brian, you are onboarding as many people as possible onto the bitcoin life raft. It will make a huge difference to the lives of many.

You could consider a bitcoin backed loan. Ledn seem to be the most trustworthy but their 12% interest rate feels expensive. The good thing is you can pay it off early. No penalty.
Other lenders offer lower interest rates, but not really looked into them. fire fish I've heard of but not researched.
Maybe a normal tradfi loan? Could get a better interest rate.

Alex Glasse is rotating a small portion of his capital from bitcoin and into bitcoin treasury companies (btctc)
While bitcoin crashed to 60k, MSTR dropped to almost $100. So MSTR is over 80% down from its all time high.
Other bitcoin treasury companies are down even more over 90-95% down.
So by allocating a SMALL AMOUNT of your bitcoin as a bet that MSTR and these btctc will out perform bitcoin in the short term, I think is not a bad strategy at all.
For gods sake dont sell all your bitcoin, and go all in on btctc. I said allocate a small %. If it doesnt work, then your life has not changed significantly to the down side.
But, if it does work, then I think its a sensible way to grow your wealth faster.
Long term, I always advocate, sit tight, let your bitcoin do the work for you, ride a majority of your bitcoin throughout all the ups and downs, hodl is the strategy thats always worked for investors, for as long as investing has been around.

I still think learning to play dead is the best strategy,
Remember your post, time in the market is better than timing the market.
But of course if you need to buy things / spend money then might as well buy these things when in a bull market (so you could describe this as profit and cashi g out because you effectively spending less bitcoin). So the time to have done this was last year. I think thats what they talk about when they say short term vs long term time horizon. It gets you to re- evaluate if you really need something.

I do agree, atleast 80% of people dont seem to have the abity to see beyond what is physically present today. They seem to lack the vision, for whatever reason.

At one point I actually thought maybe he was being intentionally sarcastic, because each time he said it crashed, the price was always higher at the bottom, than previous high in the previous cycle. When Wright Brothers first achieved manned flight in 1902, it took years before mainstream scientists accepted it as real. Infact it wasnt untill 1908 that mainstream newspapers began to report it. Bitcoin feels similar, mainstream economists, nobel prize laureats are in denial, they cant believe that their own models that govern money could possibly be wrong. Physicists and mathematicians were proven wrong by 2 brothers that were bicycle mechanics. Way too much for the experts to stomach. Bitcoin is similar. The expert economists laugh, it has no intrinsic value, backed by no government, no recognised authority. They underestimate the power of the combined authority of decentralised individuals all over the world, spread out, so they cant be silenced. These are just normal every day people, maybe even bicycle mechanics, lorry drivers, office secretaries or factory workers, all running their bitcoin nodes. Its a paradigm shifts thats never existed.
I think its only a matter of time before more and more people realise that bitcoin will not go to zero. Lets stay firm with our diamond hands. Bitcoin is going up forever. 🙌

I read some where that the most succesful investors in the world are dead investors. These are investors that died and their families didnt realise they had bought certain stocks. And many many years later, they finally discovered the investment and because it hadnt been managed by a so called "professional advisor" who thought they knew better, the return was far greater.
The reason why Warren Buffet is such a succesful investor is because he learned the art of playing dead. We call it hodling.

What a great video by The Exit Manual.
Julian explains that the rise and fall of civilzations follow the same patterns over and over again. The currency gets debased, printed to infinity, inflated until its worthless. And then a new power comes along, takes over from the last, and repeats everything all over again. Its all part of the design.
But this age old design now has a new component in the mix. When one civilization falls to make way for a new, and the new brings with it the promises of a fresh currency that will not inflate, debases, or collapse, what the design has never had was a new component. I didnt really take advantage of 16k and i could have made a killing.
But having the right balance is also key. I could have made a killing, yes, but I probably would have been alot more stressed. And when we stressed we make stupid decisions.
So I dont have any regrets.
I will buy more if I can without stretching myself too thin, and so be calm in whatever the price may throw at us.
Greed is a funny thing. Be happy with our stack and be thankful we arent normies, no coiners who are still relying on fiat.

Its just the ease at which it fell through 70k, short term very difficult to give a prediction with much confidence.
I would have said 60s too, but I see 50s round the corner. At which point if you've got capital then bloody buy. 50s would be an amazing price to buy. Even current price of 65k is amazing.
People still have the opportunity to get to 1 whole bitcoin at a reasonable price. Rare opportunity. Amazing.

yeah u might be right, could last until 2nd half of the year.
I don't buy this as the typical "bear market", its going to be much shorter, 1 year tops, and then new ATH.
So new ATH way before next halving.
We just had Gold / Silver ATH, blow off top. I be shocked if this turns into full blown bear market.
My suspicion is institutions / banks buy like crazy when price gets low enough.
When supply squeeze happens, prices will go flipping crazy.
as long MSTR continue their bitcoin march forward, its only a matter of time before bitcoin supply begins to run dry.

For me its tough to gauge whats happening because we havent yet had retail enter, no blow off top, no altcoin market (as much as we hate shit coins, I think they will always be around in some form or another).
I think this bearish action wont last too long, a few months maybe. I still think new ATH later in the year. 🤞

It happens to the best of us.
I was looking at gold, thinking maybe I should buy some, fomo.
The thing about bitcoin is, all the reason I bought and hodl, those reasons are even stronger.
Price going down is abit shitty because we like to value our worth in our wealth. (Not the best way to value yourself).
But it is the best most securest store of value, asset, money... etc. Etc. if not bitcoin then what?
If gold goes up in price by 200X and uk becomes a dystopian paradise, with starmer pumping on steroids. And I am scrambling to get out, book a flight, get to the airport, go through security and my gold chain that be worth 500k, get confiscated, because its been made illegal face it. If I wanted to sell my gold, it would not be straight forward. And what would I sell for? Dirty fiat!
Bitcoin is money. It diesnt need to be sold. It can be used to exchange for goods and services, in sats. As a bitcoiner I would glide through the airport arrive anywhere in the world, carrying my wealth with me.
Bitcoin gives me a sense of calm, knowing that if the worse happens, governments confiscate everything, I have peace of mind that I will be ok. Evetything is going to be ok.

Gary Cardone is real good. He really sums it up. Bitcoin is currently only a spec in the massive wilderness of financial assets. And this an excellent reality to be faced with. Whether we are new or existing bitcoiners, it means the upside is massive.
Bitcoin is also the best business opportunity to ever exist. You could try your hardest, pull out all the strings, even if you are a genius, the chances are you won't beat the return on bitcoin. And you don't need to work like a dog, to get these gains.

Gary highlights that as bitcoiners, the risk is that we don't do anything with our life except stack sats and sit tight. The risk is we sit on our stack, get fat and lazy. I tried to go cold turkey on youtube. Its really difficult. Too much good content I follow on yt and im doing my best to encourage those I follow to have a presence on nostr.
Rumble seems much better than yt in terms of censorship. But not been able to get in habit of using it much.
Ive noticed, not all your followers are on on nostr, so hopefully they will look into nostr further.
Maybe you might want to transition in steps, to nostr / rumble, by splitting up your video. Eg. First half is on all platforms, and then the last half continues on rumble / nostr. Maybe thats a way to encourage your followers to create a nostr / rumble account. An idea you could consider.

Thats really annoying, seems like here in the UK we are locked out from taking out a bitcoin backed loan! It does seem lime we will be subject to CGT. Ridiculous!
So when the loan ends, and we get our bitcoin back, thats effectively buying back the bitcoin.
What about when we borrow against our house (re-mortgage) This is not a taxable event? Otherwise we will have to pay CGT everytume we re-mortgage.
I hope lenders accomodate for us in the UK so ownership of bitcoin stays with the borrower, multisig wallet would settle this. And if any contract breach occurs, then bitcoin is lost at which point would then be classified as a taxable event(?)
When we remortgage house, the deeds are held by bank. So that would be the same thing as multisig and lender can take our bitcoin if we default on the loan? Just like ehen bznk repossess house if borrower defaults on the loan.

I think this will be the perfect tune when bitcoin has hit $10million and beyond and we are on a bitcoin standard. Fiat money is unable to sustain itself.

I agree privacy is important, no need to share everything. There is also the risk of falling into the trap of doing things to keep your viewers happy, and this doesnt always align up with what you want to do. So taking a break was probably a good thing for you to calibrate your direction and focus 👍
Do you really, rarely wash your clothes? So you must hang them outside to get rid of smells. All my pairs of jeans, ive never washed and they just need to be aired outside maybe once a week. Other clothing Ive tried to not wash, but doesnt quite work, so I wash them with baking soda in a washing machine. Ive ditched the typical washing detergent. Horrible for your skin.
Not showering is working a treat! Ive completely forgotten what it used to be like to take a shower or have a bath. Quite funny how the world has been brainwashed into thinking we must wash ourselves every morning with soap or other products to stay clean, healthy and smelling good. Conclusion I've come to is that constant washing distrupts the microbes on your skin and after a day or two makes you stink of really bad BO. I think the bad smell of BO is literally the result of rotting microbial corpses that cant be recycled / eaten up because the act of washing daily is wiping out the correct balance of microbes required to recycle dead microbes. And so washing / bathing daily gets us stuck in a vicious cycle that never ends. Hence why the norm is to wash daily, to smell "fresh". Where as not washing / bathing allows microbes to keep each other in check, in an ideal ecosystem. And keeps us smelling good. Its the most hygienic way to live. Not washing. The irony makes me laugh.

Yes, true. But from picking the strongest network, security, hash, nodes, size of asset etc. Bitcoin is way in the lead.
Ive always liked Monero because of its privacy, but recent attack, exposes vulnerabilities of smaller crypto. If Monero was 10 or 100 times bigger, would the attack have had any affect?
Regardless, Monero survived, and has infact recovered quite well, which means a similar attack on Bitcoin (which I think is in many order magnitutdes more difficult so very unlikely). But if a similar attack did succeed on bitcoin, it would be for a brief time and very short lived. Monero survived, so Bitcoin would likely spring back even stronger.

Yes, assets such as gold can have some of these features too. But its hard to move around large amounts of value in gold across borders. And difficult to protect in self custody.
What other assets have some of the same features as bitcoin?
I suppose Bitcoin doesn't have value in terms of creating something physical. Gold silver can be used in producing physical products directly. So then bitcoin wont have value in this context. But it would be short sighted to think something only has value if it produces physical products.
What mstr is doing in producing yield would be creating value for bitcoin. But once again not direct.
Kind of feels like going round in circles in your head, asking whether bitcoin has value in the way you asking. Might be a pointless question. The affect bitcoin is having and will have is pretty clear.
I suppose Bitcoin is just code. So it might be better to compare Bitcoin to any piece of software. eg. Microsoft windows which runs because of code. What value does Microsoft operating system have? Based on how you asking the question, Microsoft operating system would also have no value, but its affect is quite opposite. How people interact with it is what creates the value. and what people can do because of it, is what creates the value. Bitcoin is the same.

I feel confident my wealth can't be forced from me, not stolen easily, I can move anywhere in the world and still have access.l to my bitcoin relatively easily. Transactions can't be censored. Im definitely sticking with bitcoin. Show me an asset that I can be the true bearer, an asset that is unconfiscatable, an asset that I can move anywhere in the world without friction, without permission, and so decentralised that its next to impossible for transactions to be censored. Show me an asset that is matched with the security that the bitcoin network provides. If there is another asset that can do all this I will hapilly buy some. Untill then Im sticking with Bitcoin. Im with you 100% Brian.

I do agree, retail havent entered, there has been no blow off top, no euphoria. Im definitely in the 4 year cycle being extended.
I still think we need a nice strong bounce which we havent really had, so I wouldnt be surprised if we hit 70k region and then recover very quickly. Santa rally this year was non existent.

The best solution is keep your identity private and never engage with the law.
If the law tries to engage with you, dont reciprocate.
Once they put an X on your back (which they can only do if you naively make your identity public) then they will bait you to engage with them so you hand over information that they use to put you in prison.
Samurai guys should never had engaged with the law when they were contacted. They were naive to think otherwise. Not to single them out in anyway, most people are taught to believe that those in authority using and enforcing the law is doing so in a good way for good purpose. I was brought up to believe that the purpose of the law is to protect us and that we should engage and answer questions from police and those in authority. Reality is, the law is designed to make money, and if it doesnt make money it wont be enforced. The police are trained to behave and act in a certain way. Their training is structured in a way that promotes more money to be made supporting agendas that kerp massive institutions rich and powerful. Individual police officers dont realuse this, most of them enter the profession with good intentions.
Samurai guys are a threat to how massive institutions make money. And this is the only reason the law has been used to put them in prison. To protect the status quo corrupt ways in which massive financial institutions make money. And to send a message to any coder out there, you could be next.
Just remember, it is written in law that we do NOT need to answer any questions anyone asks us, regardless of position of authority, police, government, the king, or the pope. The law in this instance is protecting us, we just need to know it exists and then enforce it, should the time come we need to use it. This is written in UK law and US law and all countries that follow western law and even many countries that dont follow western law.
Samurai guys really shouldnt have made their identity so public. Ross Ulbrict eg. did everything right, it was just bad luck the way they cornered him, had he not stepped away from his computer logged in, they wouldnt have been able to get the information they used against him.
And I suppose he could have protected his bitcoin better in self custody. Hiding his keys in a popcorn tin. Come on he could have done a better job to protect his bitcoin stash than that. Plenty of lessons to be learned.
Expect alot of things that are perfectly legal today to become illegal in the future. And every day normal law abiding citizens to be turned into criminals.
I've heard Trump can pardon the Samurai guys. Fingers crossed he steps in. 🤞

All the bullish news is just too good. Seems like there is a lag on the price. The longer it takes for price to react, the more explosive it will be when we skyrocket.
Terrible news about the Samurai wallet bitcoin devs. News like this reminds me why privacy is so important and the need to keep your identity private and confirms why Satoshi Nakamoto stayed anonymous. If Satoshi had became public they would have nailed him to a cross! 🥺 its the world we live in.

Yes i totally agree, these crashes are pushing people to give up their bitcoin so institutions can come in get them cheaper.

I did say a few weeks ago I thought we would drop 80-90k and that would be the bottom. But Im not really convinced. I was expecting a really big bounce at 80k. We have a had abit of a recovery but its taken its time. I would be satisfied if we re-visit 70k region with a 10k bounce in a day or 2. Then I will be convinced we have bottomed.
I do think we will rally in Decemebr. Stocks usually rally towards end of December. They call it the santa rally. Hopefully Bitcoin will follow. Will be nice to be over 100k for new years. 🤞

Tell Andy he needs to watch the series that Saylor and Breedlove did, What is money.
Once it clicks, then doesnt really matter what happens with price, its actually really hard to sell bitcoin. Hodl becomes a doddle.
Price of Tomorrow by Jeff Booth made me realise how skewed all the prices of all things are. And the reality is, everything is meant to get cheaper. All things becoming more expensive through inflation isnt meant to happen. Its a man made phenomenen.
With Bitcoin everything does get cheaper.
Once it clicks hodl really does become a doddle.

I do agree, the best strategy when we get a sell off like this is to stay strong. And hodl.
Trying to trade and buy back back in lower is a fools approach. Its like trying to catch a falling knife. Best to let it land on the ground rather than try catch it on the way down and get all cut up in the process.
Sit back and watch to see where bitcoin lands.
Yeah would be great to have more dry powder. Have u considered loaning against a portion of bitcoin to buy more bitcoin? It could work. Never sat down to try and work it out. Im playing a more passive approach.
Someone once said the best investors in the world are dead investors. These are investors who died and their family didnt know abour their investment. Eventually after years the investments were discovered by their family and their gains were far beyond the best living investors. So the best strategy is to learn to play dead while still alive. Dont underestimate this approach.

To me it makes no sense that OGs would sell their bitcoin in vast amounts. You run out of things to buy at that scale and pointless to diversify, bitcoin is the strongest asset ever. Maybe diversify 10% of holding but not on the scale that im hearing.
I could be wrong but it just makes no sense to me that OGs would sell. They better off loaning against rather than sell. Thats just my two sats worth. 🤷

When they say OG bitcoiners are selling causing price to go down, are we sure about this? Can we see this on the block chain. There are some OG selling, sure, but really is there that much?. Im more inclined to think we've hit a glut in buying and since price is determined between buying vs selling, then price goes down, because number of people buying has gone down. I dont think OG are selling in massive numbers.
Yes we hit 10 on fear and greed, if it can dip below 10, maybe visit 80-90k region that should hopefully clear out all the weak hands. Yeah i think we should get abit of a rally to year end and then 2026 Im optimistic we get new ATH. Im still waiting for 200k!

$1.2million call option lost. Thats alot of money. It might not be alot of money to that trader. If I was a betting man then 12 months ago I would have betted we be over 200k. We aren't. Important to not get too over confident and make stupid choices. Long term we know its going to a million and beyond. But inbetween, how we get there, its next to impossible to be right all the time when its going up or down.

Grant Cardone is absolutely spot on. Bitcoin is so much better than real estate. Buying property as a way to increase the value of your wealth is the old way of doing things.
I look forward to the day when house prices are considerably lower because they wont be used as an investment. From a moral point of view its so much better too. It means more people will be able to afford a roof over their heads and own their own home. Its a fairer society.

Im so surprised the fear greed hasn't dropped any further. Its in the 20's still and bitcoin price has dipped a few times below. 100k. Last time we saw <10 on fear greed was March this year. So I'd like to see a good clear out. Its the only way for bitcoin to sky rocket. Maybe a revisit to 70 or 80k is required.

Its so true, bitcoiners have developed a resilient skin because of the massive crashes we see all the time. When this so called big crash happens in tradfi, the normal traders / and alot of investors will absolutely crap their pants. Its nothing they've ever seen or experienced before. I think there are more diamond hands amongst bitcoiners than any other investor class. But I think we have a long way to go yet. This cycle is far from finished. 444k sounds good to me. I'd be really pleased if we go than high. 🚀

I can see bitcoin hitting 200k in this cycle. When it hits 200k will i sell. No way. Because it could go higher. It could go much higher.
If it doesnt then i will ride it down all the way into bear market and then back up, much much much higher.
If I need cash then I might consider selling. But before I do, I will look into getting a bitcoin backed loan instead.

I was not expecting such a massive crash after hitting ATH. Caught me by surprise.
You absolutely right, leaverage is the best way to get burned fast. I do like normal fiat loans, finance that wont cause your bitcoin to get liquidated. Although its sad hear stories about peoole losing their life savings, unfortunately some people have to learn the hard way.

I take it back!!! I vehememtly take back the premature thank you for Bitcoin core in my previous message. Bitcoin core have released v30 yesterday 12/10/2025 and op_return has been expanded. Very disappointing.
Bitcoin core are over confident, and seem to have let power go to their heads. Its impossible to predict the 2nd, 3rd 4th order effects. They are opening up bitcoin to very obvious csam attacks. Bitcoin core are going against their principles of dont change something unless its absolutely necessary and essential.
I will continue to support Knots. Luke Dashjr seems to be one of the few bitcoin devs that is still following the principles that bitcoin was founded on.
