And this is going to be rough to hear but Hitler did not order the Holocaust. His followers did it on their own, taking his violent rhetoric and putting it in to action.
There's no order. Look it up.
There was after it began a conference that condoned the murder of Jews and others, but Hitler did not order it and did not directly (at least on the record) even condone it.
But it's the sort of thing what Hitler wanted.
Trump WANTS the violence. This isn't him losing control.

The headline here is wrong and dangerous. The beheading of a government employee doesn't show #Trump has lost control of his base.
It shows his base is doing exactly what he wants.
The Nazi SA helped the Nazis secure power in interwar Germany through violence, murder and intimidation. It was NEVER part of the Nazi government. It was more akin to the Proud Boys or the Klan than anything else.

@npub1hgr…2e7r my grandmother was born in 1927. I don't know when my grandmother experienced menopause but my mom was in her freaking sixties when she had her last period.
In 1973 my grandmother lived in Florida.
My 18 and 14 year old daughters live in Florida.
My grandmother, during childbearing years, had more rights than my kids do today in Florida.

@npub1lzz…jhl3 I'll have to look at this whole thing but I think I'd either have to go with Mike Johnson or Samuel Alito for that. Especially, given the story that just came out about Alito manipulating the court on Dobbs (though to be fair to Charlie the story just dropped). I'd put Leonard Leo above Musk too.
Now, I'd stick them all in the same ring of hell so don't get me wrong, Musk is an understandable winner.

@npub1x7f…c6z0 they are convinced that deus ex machina will provide them with simple, easy solutions they don't have to think about.
And yes, masks and air filters and avoiding big crowds is simple.
But they think their machine god doesn't even require that much effort.
And a lot just haven't been taught any meaningful critical thinking skills.

@npub1c04…5lkv @npub189n…satx I was in my childhood home of Sacramento last week. Hung out with a buddy I've known since kindergarten. He's loved by my parents.
I said I mask. He said "I'm over covid" I explained my parents are extremely vulnerable to it (he knows my dad has spent over a year in the hospital ten years ago dealing with something called ARDS, the thing that kills most people who die from covid). And was literally shocked my parents are high risk.

@npub189n…satx hospitals not wearing masks is wild to me.
I've talked to some workers about it and they're like, "yeah, I've had covid three times and it was horrible. Definitely not a cold."
So why not wear a mask?
I asked, politely, but the answers were generally incoherent enough I don't remember them well.
I have been in some units that were masked (and requiring masks) recently. In Miami even.

@npub1v2s…mqq5 the real issue with that state is it's law free neighbor, Indiana.
I don't have the receipts in front of me but I'm pretty sure most illegal guns in Chicago are from Indiana, which borders the city. Gary, Indiana, is a suburb of Chicago.
That's the best part of Republicans pointing to violent crime in Chicago and saying gun laws don't work: it's Indiana's loose or lack of gun laws driving violent crime in Chicago. Not Illinois.
