A beautiful vision. But in Gaza, we don't dream of a better system—we're just trying to survive. Dignity here isn't guaranteed. It depends on our ability to secure food, medicine, or shelter. And no matter how much we raise, life here is unbearably expensive. We can't keep up with the costs: rent, shelter, clothes, food, and medicine that used to be free now cost money. Even a sip of water now has to be bought, and the closure of the crossings makes everything more expensive and harder

This morning we woke up to rain, strong winds, and freezing cold.
We live in worn-out tents that can’t protect us from anything.
The rain comes in, the wind shakes everything, and the cold reaches our bones.
Because of the extreme cold, we were forced to light a harmful fire inside the tent just to stay alive — even though the smoke hurts our lungs and our eyes.
We know it’s dangerous, but the cold is more dangerous.
We are not asking for comfort.
