i swear what you're saying has been happening for ages. republican states score the lowest in all the bad statistics, like highest teen pregnancy rates, lowest healthcare scores...if *that* isn't making them think, nothing will unfortunatley.

the root of much of the worlds current social issues, including climate change, is capitalism. abolishing capitalism and replacing it with something better will fix those issues.

governments and international organisations, try as they may, cannot enact reasonable movement towards saving the climate. for example, countries can simply walk out of things like the paris climate agreement, which is what trump did.
furthermore, on the whole, governments are controlled by the big corporations which are most responsible for the climate crisis, and as such it is generally in governments' best interest to do as little as possible about the crisis.
to solve the climate crisis we must first solve the issue of greedy corporations existing and puppetting the major political parties across the world. the easiest and most effective way to do this is socialist revolution.
