if you’re referring to the wallet activation procedure on the primal app, the lightning wallet is serviced by strike which is a US company subject to KYC laws so email and place of residence is required before you create your wallet. now there are alternatives that do not require KYC that could be set up through other nostr clients. I could help explain how to set it up that way if you want

fastest way on mac that I know is this:
1. go to npub.cash
2. login (nsec (aka your nostr private key) login would probably be easiest for you but note that copying and pasting your nsec to different places on the internet risks having it leaked/stolen and your account compromised. it’s safer to have your private key in a key manager like alby and then login with nip-07, which you can do with the free version of alby, but this is getting more complicated and you asked for quick so i digress)
3. create a password
4. claim a username (i think this costs 5000 sats, if you want, you could share the QR code as a comment to this post and I will happily pay it)
5. go to the settings of whatever nostr client you are using and copy the username from previous step to the “LN address” field
Boom. you can now receive zaps
lmk if you run into any issues
PS i wouldnt keep more than 20,000 sats on this type of wallet personally because it is still a work in progress

when you take a step back and realize where we are, how far we’ve come, in a few short years, it is absolutely awe-inspiring. We are here! Where we said we would be 5 years ago — we have lightning, we have bitcoin ETFs, we have nostr — and they are all working… now! Sometimes it feels like we are a small group living in the future. I know it is all stuff that people had predicted, but to have it play out exactly as predicted, and to be using these freedom technologies, and to have them WORK! its just an incredible feeling — it wells me up with gratitude😌
