Ah, yes, I guess I was picturing Terminator-style land-on-your-feet time travel. I suppose if you could zap an entire starship through time, you might get close enough to spot your destination and navigate there.

It seems you'd have to have a fixed point of reference for both time and space, which I'm not sure is possible if space is expanding and everything including galaxies are moving. Between that and the Grandfather Paradox, the only "time travel" I see possible is relativistic time dilation (e.g. returning home to your world's "future.")

On review of #Pixelfed open GitHub issues, it seems that Instagram import is very problematic. It's had issues handling things like dates newer than 2023, images without captions, .webp and .heic images, and video thumbnails.

I'd hope Instagram import is a high priority for devs right now, at the height of Pixelfed adoption. It's pretty disappointing to find that it's not the easy migration from IG that we're led to expect.
I understand the challenges of software development and can be patient, but a lot of users will just give up.

I'm having import issues too. Usually the "Review Imports" button does nothing. If it proceeds and I select "first 100" items, it only processes a few. More often, nothing happens.
Wish I knew whether something's wrong or the server is just really busy.

Ok, cool, but... I don't understand newspapers, celebrities, and public figures *just now*—at the 11th hour, with voting already underway—coming out to endorse Harris.
As of March 12 it should have been easy for any decent person or organization to endorse literally "whoever the Dems stand up."
