The same principle as used by every house in my home town in the Australian bush back in the day. Square boxes mounted on the roof's highest point with fibrous mats on all four sides that had water dripping down them. Inside was a big fan that blew the now moist air through ducting to each room as needed.
One just had to remember to shut them down when a dust storm was coming ...

How to stop the popularity of One Nation and reduce the impact Hanson's so-called policies?
Look at history.
One Nation almost disappeared during the resources boom in Australia. Why? Because people were happy. Now, people are discontented, struggling with everyday living.
Reform social support so that it actually supports society and not the wealthy and parties like One Nation, built entirely on hate for the "other", will fade into nothingness again.

The is not AI yet.
There is pattern recognition, which science and medicine make great use of. There is LLM- style text and image generation, which ordinary folk like to play with, and there are programmed robots which carry out planned actions.
There are robots which can get between two points, chosen by a human, autonomously, sometimes while carrying a box if required to by a human.
The gulf between all of these is, as yet, unbridged. They rely on completely different versions of "AI".
The problem is humans giving an "AI" system an instruction and letting it work out the best process to carry it out—without humans being in the loop prior to execution. THAT is dangerous.
We're at least a human generation away—at the soonest—from anything resembling artificial sentience, which is what most people think of when Hollywood mentions "AI".

While we were stewing over our engine issues, a fellow pulled in, towing his caravan.
His car was a disaster. While doing 80 km/h he had hit a cow the previous night. The usual story: driving with bright lights, had to dim due to an oncoming car, night blind, hit cow. An Angus cow (therefore black).
I hate driving with super-bright lights; they ruin your night vision and if you have to dim your lights you're effectively blind for a few minutes. Bring back the old warm-white high/low beam...
Anyway, his car, a Mitsubishi Pajero, is a write off. All squished on the passenger front corner, bull bar pushed right back, bonnet bent into a right angle, etc. Even the towbar was bent upwards—not easy to do—by the caravan trying to keep moving forwards when the car stopped in a hurry.
But he drove it the 60 km to our campsite, still towing his caravan... Reckons it didn't drive any different, just looked funny.
I was, and still am, flabbergasted. And he is bloody lucky.

My worklife experience says the statement is absolutely correct.
Getting a human to specify what it is they're seeking in terms that can be acted upon with certainty is nigh on impossible in nearly all walks of life, but in software? Not happening. Ever.

Foster and Vaughn were in completely different areas, and Vaughn was a self-taught expert, THE expert at the time, in FORTRAN who taught other programmers of the shiny new IBM kit.
Jackson petitioned the court in *Virginia* to gain access to the all-white school to further her engineering education, as shown in the movie. Again, McGlathery was in *Alabama*, which was integrating at the time (against the Governor's wishes). He wound up running the Equal Opportunity Office department - what some would now call DEI.
Please, allow that women in general, and women of colour specifically, have abilities equal to, and in some cases far beyond, their male counterparts.

OK, so I'm #NowWatching #HiddenFigures and it's really tough going.
The story is great, the acting is wonderful, the photography brilliant, etc.
The blatant #racism makes me deeply angry.
I know it's a movie, but to know that the attitudes on display were real, and in many (too damned many) cases still are, is triggering. This old white male, steeped in unearned #privilege, has to keep pausing to take a deep breath.
