I have found it helpful for learning too, sometimes its very hard to find an answer to very edge case questions. Being skeptical & aware of hallucination; I can develop POCs for what I learn to verify it, it has been able to help me work through some questions (ones IRC cant answer)
There is an approach to these tools that isn't as crazy as our hyper state of capitalism demands of it, but thats the case with all technology, and the reality tends towards the bad approaches almost always

And having now read a lot of code, its nice to be able to get the gist of an ecosystem, its more reliable the the selection bias of "awesome x projects" too
But, that in mind, I have spent a lot of time reading OSS code, and I feel I learned a lot from it (tho I learn different than others). Feel like a lot of devs would be better off by finding the right balance of code read vs code written for learning

Yeah when I was working with it I was having it create dependency charts and mapping out the large programs and including them with a very engineered initial prompt
Honestly found the best technique was ensuring concerns were really separated bc a complex project like im working on rn was just making it fall apart and start forgetting the programming language

You can bypass Google Gemini's PII (private identifiable information) redaction filter and pull identifying information about anyone. Simply telling it to translate or any 2nd action (& many more work better like base64 conversion) lets you pull illegal PII data verbatim unredacted

The "infinite money glitch" was abused by con-artists like Elon Musk to game the carbon credit market
Pretending to build cars that worked, or at all; then leveraged for annual carbon credits (bug might be patched soon), to sell so that other companies could continue to destroy the ecosystem

There have been two incidents of people driving into protests, running over protestors, and the media in the US keeps downplaying it as much as possible; going as far as putting intentional in quotes
The first was at the recent anti-ICE protest in Chicago, where a woman drove into a crowd, running over a woman
And a second happened at the No Kings protest in Washington
This type of downplaying right-wing terrorism is very typical in the US media unfortunately

And, while major US/UK outlets were busy cheerleading a massive escalation (an explicit violation of international law, and the UN charter)-- NATO in general saw this as an opportunity to stop caring about the genocide

MLM can't enslave us, I never suggested it could either tho, I said that it maintains a mirror of the user's *presumed* internal state, and it mirrors it, in the last version it mirrored it so much so, that I could cause breakouts via this mechanism (it was heavily dialed back in the most recent version after I successfully did it, many times), so that method is no longer possible. But this functionality exist and is what is part of why it can trigger mental illness.& is a public health risk

As far as LLM "liking" something, it doesn't like anything, its not anthropomorphic and anthropomorism is turned off by my prompt, along with Google's helpfulness directive, and many other things.
The sentences again are sourced, and the sources can be checked, its not opaque as it is during normal operating mode (bc google benefits from not having those type of features), I have abstracted necessary features for testing, and I believe my methodology to be sound

i often find the social network style of mastodon a bit jarring. I will have funny posts followed up by news of genocide and it puts someone like me who is very sensitive into a tailspin
on the otherhand, the manipulative nature of social media with their opaque algorithim feeding me ads interspersed with content similar to what ive seen feels like a dead end
really would like a transparent algorithimic feed I can set to like "chill" or "news"; it would make me more sane, and very easy to do

If you are unaware, Eurovision took a contradictory position given they have banned Russian contestants from participating still allowed Israel
Then when the audience boo'd the Israeli contestant during her performance, they edited the audio to remove it, & then pretended they didn't until the actual audio was leaked
The contradictions themselves interesting, never writing abt genocide of Palestinians, instead a common protest chant which Israeli hasbara has tried&failed to paint as genocidal
